I confirm that the Vmod works OK with Club-3D 7800GS (G71).
I can overclock the GPU to 720!!!
I made the pencil mod for the memories and reach 780!!!
But for some reason I can’t do that at the same time. :confused:
I can’t pass 650 with the memories if the GPU have the VMOD to 1.5v.
So now I have the graphic with 650 / 650. I will like to put them at 720!!! :D
THANKS PAIIITET FOR THIS INFO!!! And do you have any idea why I can’t do the overclocking at the same time?

Guys I'm a total nub or something I guess lol I have a *eVGA 256-A8-N505-AX Geforce 7800GS* it says in the nvidia control panel that it is a G70 core but I was sure this is a newer card thus have the G71 core im confused could someone comfirm if I have a G70 or G71 plz
to be sure, look under heathink when your putting a aftermarket cooler on it. you should just to help things out on the o/c and its gonna run alittle hotter.Quote:

There is no way to know it but look for yourself on the core.
nVidia control panel just states what it's supposed to say, if you ahve a 7800gs it is programmed to say g70
Remove heatsink. Wipe off thermal paste. Look at core. See whether it says G70 or G71.

on the chip are all 1
VID4 to ground is 1.2 V
VID2 and 4 to ground is 1.3 V
VID3 and 4 to ground is 1,4 V
do you want to give more Voltage than 1.55 V ?

To me necessary for 1.3v or 1.4v since by 1.5v acceleration of memory it decreases from 720 to 650 and very strongly make noise coils the capacitors
