Maybe the GTO BIOS runs looser mem timings? Not sure about the core though that's weird.

Why do you have to flash the bios? Why don't you simply set the memory clock higher?
I'm thinking about to sell my two OC'ed 7800 GT and to get a 7900GTO, what do you think about that?
Is the first Stock 7900GTO 3D Mark 06 Bench in SLI Mode or single card?

then whats the diff between these and the 7950 gt? both are underclocked gtx's

the 7950gt isn't an underclocked GTX, it has only 1.4ns RAM, the GTO has 1.1ns and same PCB as the GTX.

but it's still slower than two 7800gt isnt it?
