what is the diff with all the asus boards. so many names im alwayz left newegging a board to find out what which every one is talking about.

Yes, it powers down temporarily. And it's not just an Asus thing. Boards by other manufacturers do it too when the system is overclocked.

Can thius board support 2x Quad SLI cards..

Example 2x 7950 GX2?

At least the price is dropping on these boards.

I just ordered one from ewiz.com for $285 + shipping !!
ewiz has a far lower price than anyone today on this board.

(although I was not thrilled with their customer service or the person I spoke with after a recent order, I still bought one from them at this price)

Go to froogle.com and search for ASUS P5W64-WS Pro and take the link, although the price may be in the process of going back up some.
