Scythe Infinity, E6600, Asus P5B Deluxe....My system, PICS, REVIEW!!!!
Hey, i received my Scythe Infinity today to replace my Big Typhoon, also i put some AS5 on the NB and SB chipsets................
When i removed the NB cooler i found out that half of the heatsink wasnt even making contact, if you scroll down you will see how bad this is, i was preety disapointed when i saw that, QC? in ASUS that bad? anyway here are the results from my Big Typhoon and the Scythe Infinity, both using the same settings and same fan, all the hype about the Infinity blowing the Big Typhoon away, today i find out its all BS.....who ever had big differences in temps must have not had it making full contact or was just plain BS..........here are the results.............
TEST SYSTEM is in my SIG. with all settings as you see in my SIG.
AMBIENT TEMP 76f, Used a Thermaltake 93cfm 2700rpm fan.
3.6ghz 1.46v (400x9)
Scythe Infinity
idle = 38
load = 56
Big Typhoon
idle = 40
load = 59
As you can see the Scythe Infinity is a great cooler..........but it does not kick the Big Typhoons BUTT, as other have claimed....if you already own a Big Typhoon, a heatsink upgrade isn not needed, as the difference is only a couple of degrees, if you use the same fan........overall im happy with this product and i am very happy with my setup as of now..............
Check out some PICS!!!!!!!!!! i know everyone loves pics :woot: :banana: :woot: :banana: :woot: :banana:
