E6600, before and after vcore mod.

This is a before and after compairson of how a vcore mod can help a LOT. This is all vapochill LS cooling.
E6600 retail, week 27.
P5B-Deluxe
2GB g.skill pc2-6400

I was completely stuck at 4.2ghz for Super PI 1M. vcore 1.64v real.

And here are the results after a vcore mod, vcore 1.85-1.9v.

Just for fun heres a 32M run with 1.86vcore still using stock vapochill LS.
My board might be limiting me because the clock difference between the 32M run and the 1M run is very small.

I still am in shock at the way your 6600 scales with so much voltage. It seems like yesterday me and you were shooting tit for tat at each other in 20 mhz increment Spi1m wars. The next day you jumped 400 mhz on me.. lol:slobber:

Has anyone ever done a real world test with something like this. Like say rip a DL dvd recode it to 4.5gb and burn it back and see actual results

umm. I play FEAR for 3 hours at 4.2 Ghz on mine. I can run superpi32m and pass orthos or dual prime95 overnight. I am pretty sure Epox can do the same.

Before the vcore mod, I was running 4.1ghz daily with F@H running for over a week.

Jeez nice boost. Wonder if vcore mod will get me up to 4.7 on DI :D

very nice, im limited ~ 4500/4600 with dice, maybe 4700/4800 with the mod will be possible.

975 is limmited by VMCH, but don't know about 965, would be nice to see, if that made a difference.

I did try the vmch/vNB mod on this board, tested from 1.6-1.8vmch this did not change the max FSB. The NB is being cooled by an HR-05.
Some people get boards that do 550fsb+ stock with extra cooling mine will only do 515fsb with 8x multi, possibly its my memory.

It could mean a couple things...

The NB needs more cooling with more volts
Something else is limiting my fsb

Going to pick up dry ice in the morning.

That thermaltake chipset heatsink how does it performs?

It's good if you have a strong fan to go with it even better. NB stays around 34C with 1.65vmch.
