Flashing now.. :D
*results in a mo* ;)
i dont know about 975 chipset mobos , but ALL 965 chipset mobos downward the CPU multis since the begining, LOLOL
regards
it does work!! but in the bios, it shows i can change it from 20-6, if my default is 9, i wonder what 10 does.. ill be back!
It doesnt has to be with the chipset, but with the BIOS, at least Asus wanted to publish a BIOS that has real improvement... Now lets go for the Ai booster support... LOLQuote:

I would love to get my E6600 to 400x8 to get 3.2 and run my memory at its rated 800mhz and a 1:1 divider. I know what I'll be doing this evening.

i thought all mobos can do that , i can lower multi with DS3 , DS4 and S3 since the begining.
the asus P5WDH didnt allow to downward the multi before this BIOS ???

So the P5W nears the P5B D in the HOT board crown again. I need to go home sick and try it out, hehe.
So, currently I'm @ 400x9 1:1.
Is it even possible for my OCZ Plat 6400 REV. 2 to do 450x8 1:1?
Am I high?
*Cough* *Cough* Yep, I may need to go home also!Quote:

did you lock your PCI-E frequency at 100mhz ?Quote:

i am using 4:5 mem divisor, at 458mhz in cas 5.
Is this still beta 'cause it's not on Asus's support site.
It works for me with e6400 cpu. Can go down to x7 with no problem up to about 425. After that windows hard locks after a short time.
Bios still needs better memory tweaking.
yep , but its not same ,is always better using 1:1, and also better performence .Quote:

ok well heres what i found out after playing around.. my original setup was with an e6600
378x9 = 3.400 @ 1.55v (bios)
now
420x8=3.360 @ 1.55v (bios)
if i try anything over 421 the bios post looks all strange, anything over 423 and i get my video card bios is corrupt, that is with the pci-express on auto or locked at 100, or locked all the way up to 110, no differnce, tried the 7x multi thinking i could go higher than 420 with that, but still the same thing, anything over 421 and the bios is all screwy, seems they might still have some bugs in this bios version. also running the fsb at 420, my rams at 840, trying to use a divider to get 1050, makes the computer not boot, i dont think its the ram i relaxed the timings and every cranked the voltage and still no post, but now i get when it posted and it didnt do this the first few times, cpu ucode error... whats that mean.. anyone else able to get over 421??:confused:

Wrangler88 -- E6600 using x8 // 420 FSB
Plaicd --- E6400 using x7 // 425 FSB
try more vFSB , but i doubt you can run more than that >>> 975 chip7 timings .
