BIOS name need to be mod M2N-E

I try to flash M2N-SLI dlx BIOS on M2N-E, and with every program i try (awdflash, ezflash, asus update) the same thing happend, utility recognize that it's not M2N-E bios (not same motherboard) and wouldn't flash on it. So now i'm looking for some BIOS editor, i need just to rename BIOS spec, M2N-SLI >> M2N-E. Does anybody know some BIOS editor and how can i do that. The other option is always to program BIOS with separate BIOS programer, but i think it's easier with BIOS editor.

U are wrong, it's same board (chipset is same M2N-E is not 570ultra, it's 570SLI like M2N-SLI) and when u swap BIOS cips from M2N-SLI to M2N-E (pullout and replace) it's working like nothing happends, people already try that, so i just need to rename BIOS so i can flash it.

MISKO, PLZ help. how did you flash it and what did you type. i tried AWDFLASH.EXE 0402.BIN/F and it comes up with some screen saying aWDflash utility
AWDFLASH [filename1] [filename2]
FILENAME1 = bios to flash
FILENAME 2 = save current bios as

i tried AWFLASH.EXE and it comes to the screen where i have to enter the name and if i type 0402.bin. it says bios name doesnt match and if i try 0402.bin/f, or even 0402.bin/ it says floppy disk not ready no matter what i type after the 0402.bin/ .
PLZ HELP. And can you OC properly now

Actually its don now. i tried awdflash.exe 0402.bin /F
before i was trying awdflash 0402.bin/F
BUT it doesnt really OC well either, its the same as the M2N-e, it just resets the OC everytime the computer is reset

Hi, finaly i did, but is the same, i think that the only form to have more vdim is with the vmod.....

When M2N-E motherboard (1.95VDIMM MAX) is flashed w/ M2N-SLI BIOS and you set a higher VDIMM (example 2.2V) does it realy changes de vdimm to that voltage? Anyone meassured w/ voltmeter in the Vdimm read point? Or it tops at 1.95V anyway?

No, if u hit 2.2 in BIOS, board will set to default like nothing happend??? Maybe engeners who work in Asus eint fools :), so mod is not 100% posible, or maybe we must use external way to write BIOS in bios chip because in dos he overwrites only some part of the -E BIOS, not 100%. I don't know.

I might be able to try that next weekend, if I have a bit of spare time at work. I have access to an eeprom programmer :D Btw you could verify the memory voltage fact by switching plcc32 chips with the m2n-sli deluxe.

The only thing i didn't try. I try to flash in dos, it works, but when I try to change some V in BIOS it doesn't work, SLI have some other V settings that -E doesn't have. Like HT link, or V for chip (good things for max OC-ing). -E and SLI have same chipset under heatsink 570SLI (I took of heatsink from -E and i saw 570SLI) so I think they are 99% same boards.

Do not try to flash -E board with -SLI dlx BIOS, if u try to return to -E BIOS, u will kill your board, and only eeprom can bring her to life, so :nono: :slapass: .
