I've put what's left of the old farm back on this project but it's not really a farm anymore. Hopefully some others can transfer a few MHz to help hold them off.

omg this should not happen.
I try saving some energy until december for my electric bill (this definitly will hurt this year) but reading this, I stopped my dual P3 and started the c² X2...maybe I can get around the D2OL installation bug on my 3200+ on work, then I could finally switch it from R@H to D2OL.
Hopefully some people will move from R@H to D2OL ;)
Jeff thanks for your support of Rosetta back in January... first post here.
So for that, I am full power with everything on D2ol. We all worked too hard last year to give it up to a group of ice cream wannabe's. I'm here to help.
putting a SD3700 on it now, and an X2-4200 when I get a new UPS. Both run about 2.5Ghz. They are here to stay as well, sick of the stuff happeing in Rosetta.
EDIT:-
Appears the server is down... all other net apps running fine, even turned Firewall off totally, still no go.
(I forgot the servers have a habit of doing that on this project... ah well, try again later)
EDIT 2:-
Registration server is back up, joined, and crunching. X2 will go on (24/7) as soon as I get a UPS
yepp there was a bit downtime today, but since one or two hours everything is fine again. Was the first downtime since a long time (which I remarked).
Anyway just uploaded 150 for today, hope we can get ARS and DPC behind us again daily.
I've started running it and had my first points updated :D. I only have it on my parents A64 at the moment but annoyingly it's the most powerfull I have. One Q though is there anyway to upload the compleed results manually? :toast:
hehe yes I saw your one point in the morning when I went to bed (skipped sleeping the night :D)Quote:

btw: A64 is nice for D2OL, unfortunatly I haven't seen what conroe can do.
:woot: Good to hear a few are coming back/starting up!
Are the stickies still relevant to the client, or are there any other tweaks for it?
thanks
I'll put my P3-800 back to the project, Rosetta does almost nothing for the old rigs anymore. It runs offline as well, so D2OL is a better project (if the servers are online, lol).
ok, my core 2 duo is doing very little right now. How can i help?
hmmm what do you mean with little? I only have my A64 running overnight and it can do ~100 on each core/night (21-9).Quote:

@Martijn hehe P3 rockz  have a dual 933MHZ running for it and it does not that much, but enough for his energy when running 24/7.
btw: the project isn't down that often as it was during phase I. I was very happy the last weeks as it really was what I would call "stable" maybe once a month with some downtime, but personally I haven't remarked more.
@Max Tractor hmmm don't know about the tweaks but the client and the system is the same as when I started D2OL (almost a year ago now)
I'll start up later this week.
Perkam
Good to have a stable connection then :) . What about the candidate/point issues? Still got cands that won't get points if you return them?
EDIT:
I already did 2 candidates in the last hours!! YEAH!! :p:
If you have a fast Rig, you'll see a lot more WU's returned than you did on Rosetta...Quote:

I know, the team was still running D2OL when I bought my D820 (imagine how old it is, it's a rev. A0, lol). I know about good output :)Quote:

Yep... only pulled 500 or so down, see how it goes for now... a bit weird not setting the Queue size to 2000...
That sucks. I'm now stuck with 2000 cands on my P3, lol... What can I do about it? The program won't remove them when I set my queue lower, isn't it?:(
The client is running very well, and doing very well indeed on my opteron
1. go offlineQuote:

now you will only get the ammount of tasks you want
@Max Tractor indeed :D
Milestones Today
max_tractor passes 100
max_tractor passes 200
All rigs are back on D²OL right now... they'll never know what hits them:D
Picked up another few and added the other nodes, great stuffQuote:

Now, let's hope my X2-4200 gets a UPS soon... (The power in this area is lethal at the moment, took out my old Liebert 1500VA, power co is buying me a new one... in theory... they say they have ordered it, been waiting a month for delivery!)
Thanks SoF! :toast:
