CB-CPU: 400/740 (85% MP speedup).
PC spec's in the signature.
nice, what`s the rendering time single and multi?
dual opteron 285 @ 2.9 ghz

hm, seems I`m gonna wait for opteron 290 to come out.I thought the difference between oc 265 and 285 would be much higher... can you show me your rig specs npk?

hrvojezg00, 313% multi speedup is a bit lower than normal on 2P (4-core) Opteron system, I think.
Can you post detailed memory settings of yours (CPU-Z shot).
You've mentoned before, that you're running Win x64, but I can't seem to remember does it make use of NUMA memory addressing - that would boost overall performance a bit?
I thought so too, but sandra shows the presence of numa.I`ve looked in bios and there are none options to actually activate it
oops forgot about this thread, here are my specs:
2* AMD Opteron 285 / TYAN S2895A2NRF Server Motherboard / 4*512 mb mushkin PRO3200 ecc reg / ATI Radeon X1900XT 512MB / 2*WD raptor 36 gb RAID 0 / WD 250Gb 16Mb / FSP Group Fortron 700W EPS12V / ENERMAX CS-718B Entry level Server.
/off
Man! Yo' people already jumped in the 4x4 bandwagon with those OpteronDP rigs, isn't it. :D
Kentsfield at 3.98GHz
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ebench3980.jpg
conroe will still smoke that 4x4
Indeed it will.
you can`t compare kentsfield with 940 socket opterons, you can compare it with socket f 4 core amd proc. which will be out next year.that means: 2 proc., each 4 cores (8core) and with that my friends, kent. will have no chance
Anyone with a new 2P Opteron s.1207 board around?
DDR2 should add a little more here. ;)
p.s.: I think that Maxon Soft. should take some steps to introduce a new more complex scene with may be more actual size (720p-like resolution) or at least change the render-target format of the current one from INT 8-bit to 16/32-bit extended/high range. That will put some more strain on modern CPUs, IMHO.
It's time for Cinebench-HD. :D
new 3dmax 9 will be full 64bit so there we will finally be able to use the whole of our system.looking forward to it!!!
I still need to upload my pics. Highest so far
Conroe e6700 @ 3.8Ghz
Single 644 / Multi 1204
Well, of course eight cores will beat four. Someone in Japan has been testing dual Clovertowns (2 X 4 cores). The results I've seen are pretty amazing.Quote:

it wasn`t supposed to turn out like one...sorry
those kentsfields results are insane, on winxp64 it will surelly be on the 9s. Seems like I need to upgrade my workhorse now...
@sierra_bound: is there any problem with the kentsfield ES like those RAID problems with the firsts conroe ES?
You know what I´d like to see ? vraybench :D that would rock :banana:Quote:

I´m saying a packed 3d model with vray render engine just like cinebench, no need of having 3dmax and vray. Thatwould be the perfect benchmark for me.Quote:

400 FSB. Not easy with Kentsfield
