However occasionally it jumps up to 2.39 @ 9 multiplier.
Check sig for specs I am using the 0507 bios. I think there is an issue with CPUZ I am still able to run SuperPI to 1M in 21 seconds.
What gives?

e.i.s.t. intels version of cool and quiet it lowers multi to save power and reduce heat when it is at idle.
You just have to disable C1E and EIST in the bios.Quote:

Is it wise to leave C1E and EIST off at all times?Quote:

Good Luck and congrats on your Ho!
LOL at you, and only a few hours ago you were bragging about your big setup on another forum.
:stick: It's almost midnight I spent all day driving all over Florida...I'm tired and just want some quick answers. It's been awhile since I've "tweaked" a system of this caliber.Quote:

The majority of questions asked lately can be answered by either searching this forum, or simply doing a google search. These are not that complicated a questions.
This is supposed to be xtremesystems.org not answersmynoobquestionsaboutdefaultclockspeedsasap. org.
Question about eist...
Does it just lower multi? Or does it touch the voltage as well?
If it changes the voltage as well, you'd have to play with vcore percentages (do intels have this?) over 100% to use so that your say 115% is equal to the voltage you want, so when it ramps up, it goes to the right, stable voltage. Of course that doesn't matter if Intels don't change the vcore...
lock and ban

EVERYONE is a n00b sometime. We all learn and this forum is FULL of people asking questions and looking for advice. It's the sharing of that advice between us all that makes this such an excellent place and todays "n00b" will be here in 5 years helping others if we don't drive him away.
Yes, his questions were asked before.Yes, He could have used the search and probaly found the answers in 2 minutes.
I agree with all that. What I disagree with is the part of your statement that I highlighted. We've all asked questions on many subjects. Nobody knows it all, not me for damn sure and I doubt you do either so we ask..
A little patience, or maybe dig out the link and post that for the guy..
This isn't aimed at you specifically, I could just see it building up..
if you are a noob when it comes to computers, dont start at xs, xs is not a starting point for learning computers
though this maybe rude, but i agree with you:rolleyes:Quote:

I disagree this statement for the reason that this is a forum and questions when asked have to be answeared, but it depends of each person. There are many sections here and this section is Intel section, so everything about Intel hardware are welcome to us. I agree is wrong when people ask something that does not belong to this section.Quote:

When I help somebody I feel really good. I hope others may feel the same.:)
