Im looking to buy a Silverstone Tj07 but my question is can i just remove the the motherboard tray and throw it back in the opposite side with a inverted design ? so when your facing the case the mobo plate is on the left side instead? similar to the v1000 series from lian li?
and if you guys have any pics? please post thankss in advance

It's not quite as straightforward as it appears upon a casual inspection but not terribly difficult either.
The backplane requires no modification at all.
The roof fans will not fit and the mesh grill/fan holder requires trimming as well.
The runners for the mobo tray can be unscrewed/unriveted (the only rivets in the whole case, as a matter of fact) and swapped (the taller runner will go on the bottom when you flip the board and it needs to be spaced up approximately 3/16").
If you remove the motherboard tray and the roof fans it's easy to see what you'll need to do/change to perform the conversion.
All in all I spent maybe two hours swapping over.
clocker, thank you so much. I've pretty much searched all over for this answer until now. THe reason I want this is because the way my room is setup I would rather have the case on the left side and the case window facing me. Im also getting the tj07 because of the easy bottom rad placementQuote:

I didn't reuse the short rail after the board flip as it didn't seem necessary.
Unsrew the tall rail from the roof and just flip the mobo around- you might find you need no runners at all...

hey clokker, would there be enough room for a PA120.3 on the bottom + 1 of those stock hard drive racks? Or do I just have to bring my HDs up to the 5.25 racks?
If not, ill probably just grab the pa120.2

Nope if you want 1 hard drive rack you are limited to "only" a dual 120 setup. I believe if you took all of them out you could fit a 120.3 underthere though. That would be killer.Quote:

Depending on how you populate your PCI slots you may be able to save the front fan mount but the rear will need to be cut away to clear the triangular support bracket between the tray and the backplane.

I would think so.
I don't have a 120.2 and I never even considered using the stock HDD racks (pulled 'em out right away) so I'm only guessing but I don't see why it wouldn't fit....
Wait untill the TJ09 comes out, it looks so much better than the TJ07 (and the TJ07 is great, but from what i've heard about its acoustics I stayed away.)
i still think the tj07 is a overall better case, i like the idea of the btx reversal because of desk orientation, and the rad placement without modification is definetly a big plusQuote:

Oh I think I found one, but it was a little contradictionary, look here, because it said TJ-08 but if you look at the specs, then the TJ-08 is a different case. The sign says that this demo system has an ATI AIW X1800XL and there clearly is something different in that system, so that must make that system a TJ-09 I guess.
That the 09, it looks better with side panel on too

hey clockker , would it be possible to take one of those hd racks and store it in the 5.25 bays? would it fit snug or would it actually protrude out a little bit?
I have considered that actually.
It could be done but I decided that a CoolerMaster 4into3 module (from one of my Stackers) would be a better option.

yea i acutally looked it up and it does look more practical but why not save some money and just dump the stock hd rack in there? think about itQuote:
