Well...every other Conroe mobo seems to be getting at least one thread so... has anyone got this? How does it do?
Cheers :)

By next week a couple of us should have it
Well Coolaler managed to do quite well with a Kentsfield on it...

Oh...sorry..didnt know that was exactly the same one  :slap:
Not bad indeed :)
Not sure with Conroe yet though, I pm'ed Coolaler about 975 boards that could hit 450fsb, he recommended the Intel 975XBX, so I'm not sure what the MSI can manage on Conroe...
MSI has a 370fsb wall right now - but for kentsfield its the best performer out there in terms of FSB and a unlocked multiplier BIOS should be available soon for ES cpu's - mine will be here Monday ;)
I'm ordering one soon along with an E6600. I'm not looking to overclock this time round. Just have a stable, high performing, low heat producing system.
I'm choosing this board becaue it has 2 IDE connectors in the RIGHT place unlike the P5W DH Deluxe which has one IDE connector under the PCI slot - how gay.
Here is coolalers Conroe on the MSI 975 2B

I don't remember if this is a kentsfield being read wrong or just a conroe.
EDIT:
Another by coolaler

What cooling was used to achieve those results?
No they are proper Conroe results the Kentsfiedl deffo hits a wall at 370mhz FSB
The Power Up is version 2.1 :)
I'd guess a SS was used for that. I've come really close to getting an E6600 and MSI board as well...
I contatcted a friend of mine in the industry, like Mav said the MSI is definatley stuck at 370 with Conroe.
Hummm probally a bios issue.
If MSI has a 370 FSB wall on Conroe, why did coolaler pass it?
Sure doesn't seem like a wall to me.
I believe coolaler used ESQuote:

Anyone have a better pic than this?

picture shows 2.1 version, I think there will not be any A or B version, the 2.1 will be the new retail 975x platinum which support conroe aka power up edition
Cool, looking forward to your results... if you get close to 400 I'm getting one too! :up:Quote:

Thats what I think too. I think the pics which have A or B are not retail boards at all, just pics MSI put but never updated to the latest images.Quote:

I like how DFI put all the connections on the right side of the board so power wires didn't hang over. Made for a clean look. Again the 2 IDE connectors are a plus. If I get to 3.5-3.8 gaming stable on my e6700 with this board I will be happy untill DFI makes a better board...If they make a better board;)

anyone know if the 4 Pin 12V will work without problems or it is better to use 2x4 adapter ?
So you are saying that the version I bought from ewiz, one that supports conroe, is the V2.1?Quote:
