Hi guys. need your advices.
On DS3 with retail e6300 , i can't seem to run pass 430 fsb and
the weirdest thing is this,
If i put more than 0.1 on the mch, fsb or the vdimm, my board will be very unstable on 430 fsb. especially the vdimm voltage, anything above +0.1v
it won't even boot at 430. I had tried everything from upping the vcore to the vmch. nothing seems to help.

hi same problem after flashing to f3 bios
i realised the problem lies with the vdimm voltage.
anything above +0.1v it won't be stable above 400 fsb.
the reason it wont boot at +0.1 is because +0.1 is only 1.9v
on auto the motherboard is autodetecting the voltage it needs and it using it.
when you manually set 0.1 that is kicking it down to only 1.9v and that aint enough for 430mhz FSB.
it has nothing to do with the FSB you know this right ? it has everything to do with the ram freq.
+1 = 1.9v
+2 = 2.0v
+3 = 2.1v
+4 = 2.2v
+5 = 2.3v
+6 = 2.4v
adjust your vdimm according to what you need for that ram.
i dont know much about D9 but if your running the ram at 2.0 divider, that is 1:1 which makes the ram 830mhz you'll need a good 2.1v for that i bet, atleast that much id set 2.2 and see if its ok then drop it down a notch. or even up a notch so you can go higher with the ram divider.
and when someone asks you what ram your using
dont say D9 that dont mean anything.
say what make and model and then add in that its D9 that will help us.
D9 is voltage hungry so be aware of that.
Be carefull with those voltage's, i can get my fsb to 450 by uping the pci-e voltage, the fsb voltage and the g-mch to +0.1, personally i leave the ram alone to sort itself out. Trying dumping a 40mm fan onto your northbridge, threre cheap as chips and should only cost a couple of quid from pc world, that fixed all of my stability issues.
yes i get what u mean..but the funny thing is this.
i can only boot with +0.1v
anything more than 0.1v it won't boot.
i try from +0.2v to 0.4v.
all won't boot..

someone have heard about dead DS3?? my was dead out of the box - there is no signal to monitor ... i hear hdd, dvd-dw drive but i cant see anything ...
i have celeron 326 (new) and 2x1gb 667 (new) - combination with single and dual channel didnt do antything
did you clear the cmos already and by that i mean shortin gthe cmos jumper AND removing the battery ?
also use only stick.
does the system come on and off over and over or does it just not show any video.
try this.
power it on,, if yoiu have no video hit the reset buttin, you will see the cdrom lights blink,, if still nothing do this a few times. or hit the reset buttin about 4 times in a row, dont wait for it to reboot though,, just hit it 1--2--3--4 then see what it does.
also strip the board .. only cpu, 1 stick of ram and video card.
if it still wont work...
this is becoming a habit here,, with these DS3 boards oing to hell.
i wonder if the 2nd shipment of these boards was bad or something.
if all else fails return it to whereever you got it for a replacement RMA.
yea tried all that and even tried a different pair of rams.
maybe i just gotten a bad overclocker.

whats really screwed up is that htis board doesnt have a bios chip persay.
i believe the bios i inside the GSATA II chip.
you RAM could be just hitting the limit
what RAM is it exactly because i tried D9 RAM that topped out at 330MHz........................................and it absolutely hated anything above +0.1Vdimm
This rams have micron D9 modules on it and have been tested up to 2.4 vdimm and have been to the 1000 mhz range(On a Badaxe mobo). Just couldnt figure out why i cant go beyond +0.1 vdimm.Everything else could be adjusted but just could not raise the bloody vdimm.If i raise it to 0.2 volt it crash.
Banging my head here. Tried almost all the settings nothing works. This is crap.
Have you tried to isolate the problem, by only OCing the RAM?
This is what I would do, then play around with the settings in the BIOS, and see if I can remedy the issue.

Tested Ocing the RAMS only. No results same thing did up to 900 Mhz but could not increase the vdimm more than 0.2. What a load of crap here. I am beginning to feel that the gigabyte boards are inconsistant in build.
I doubt your mobo is dead. I had problems with ram also. My Gskill6400HZ just dont boot with the Asus P5B Deluxe and with the Giga DQ6, so i do think the problem is or ram.Quote:

MY rams are the cheap kingston micron D9 rams and have been tested on a badaxe to 1000 mhz 2.4 vdimm. Strange thing is this mobo doesnt like this pair of rams and from what i have seen it favours those xtreem rams, adata and corsair micron rams. Anyway i have nothing more to say and am still stuck.
