Cant wait till testing.....
At least it has got a better overall look then the previous models....
Sweet, I'm digging that new cooler.
my god that thing looks sexy, far more then that ugly 2pcb thingy :)
ATi Radeon X1950XTX 512MB/512bit Samsung 0.85ns GDDR4 @ 650/2000
Crazy !!!!!!!
waiting for 3Dmark05 WR on the Crossfire Edition
This card is very sexy... How much will it cost?
It wont be cheaper than the 7800GTX512 release price:DQuote:

Im sure for the 0.85ns Memory and core/mem frequent
not for the price and memory bandwith ,may be 256bit
of course ,R580+ has 80nm process and the lower power cosumer compare with X1900XTX
0.85ns?Quote:

yea heatpipes on ati :D
new cooler looks very good i like it :D
There is also heatpipes on the old x1900xtx cooler but they are not very big
Anyone know if it is 80nm process or not ?
Regards
Andy
the final name
AMD Radeon X1950XTX :D
more heatpipes... like the7900gtx would help... =P after all that core is bigger than amd's and intels cpu's. so look at the cpu coolers...
Both companies have stated that won't happen till Q4 2006. THe deal could still fall through. They havent asked the momma and poppa's of the companies: the shareholders ;)Quote:

I may get one just so it looks better than my X1900XT. SO MUCH SEXIER!!!!
I heard it's supposidly $400. If I don't get one, mine is just gonna go down in price.
Crap, still 650mhz core :(
I guess ATI really needs 40-50% more transistors to get about equal performance to the G71. The current X1900XTX may be better than the 7900GTX in some instances, but certainly not by 40-50%. I'm not so sure if the R600 is going to beat the G80 so easily, seeing the G71 being much more efficient than the R580(+) in therms of performance/transistor.
And about the GDDR4:
0.85ns = DDR-2350
0.80ns = DDR-2500
0.85ns sounds more than plenty to me ;)
Why do they think it's better to pull air through a heatsink rather than push directly down on it? Shoulda learned from 7900GTX...
What? That fan is a blower...it sucks air from inside the case and blows it out the back..what makes you think it sucks air throught the sink:stick:Quote:

The X1900 architecture is more forward looking than the G7X arch. Given the right conditions it would crap on it (read: anything with dynamic branching). Ati probably gambled that dynamic branching would be in use by now and the built a monster around that. Also the memory controller is much different and is likely to stay with us for a few generations. For this generation it was a big investment in transistors but in future generations it wont be as bad, yet it gives a big boost in performance. Nvidia was specifically targeting reduced transistor count and succeeded well in that, but thats no reason to bash Ati when they are targeting something else. Who knows what will happen next gen, personally i think the R600 will be better, but only time will tell.Quote:
