a 965P board that don't support conroe.. Gotta love Abit :p:
ftp://ftp.abit.com.tw/pub/download/bios/ab9/ab910.zip
File is dated of July 11th, don't know if it's newer or not.
I think there is a difference in supporting a retail conroe and a es version.Quote:

Bios "ab910" is the first bios from 06/28/2006!
I think it is the same problem that the P5WDH has (with the first bios)
has nobody the current "beta" bios? :(
Better try to send some email to Abit
i sent them a mail, but they wont give me that :(
:( :(
Ooo, lemme know your results...
no new bios -> no results.... :(
if i dont get a new bios the next days, i give the mainboard back and buy the
Gigabyte (DS3) :slap:
Hmm.
Every stepping besides 6F6 (B2) is supported by the 1.0 bios.
The microcodes are there and up to date (latest revision).
Are you sure about the 6F5 B1 stepping?
Maybe there is some kind of problem with Allendales.
It supports retail Core 2's, i'm pretty sure, but doesn't have bios support for ES's.... ionno, ask a tech at Abit
edit: Spelling
i dont know, but with my E6300 & E6400 (Step5 / B1) it wont boot :(
seriously, talk to the tech's, i'm sure they can give u an ETA on ES supportQuote:

I'm going to buy a 965(no money for 975) so i would like to see some testing, since i dont know i think i'll go buy a Gigabyte ds4:p:
Or just this be a really crappy board so they dont want to show the results!:slapass:
It got a Pentium D to 4.7 GHz... that doesn't test the FSB, but that means it has a damn good power system...Quote:

I spent two days using an 820D trying to fix the problem with no luck, I thought it was the CPU so sent it for testing and it works fine
Two weeks of my life wasted

AnandTech received a new beta bios today. They should have results up shortly. :D
