I decided I needed a new mounting system. Allow me introduce "MEGA-MOUNT" heh.. Features 50mm lockdown nut for the holding plate so mounting should be spot on every time :)

With a 59/58mm diameter so it slides into the housing & sits on the 45mm inner lip which is near the top of the housing. I can add as many as I like until the evap has sufficent clearance from the housing.

The housing can hold up to 5 reducers to reduce the diameter to whatever size your evap is :)

The plastic washer would cause some condensation if it is in contact with the evap and the enclosure, because it will tranfer cold to the outside.
It is almost identical to our current enclosure mounting system, but you have to use a different mat for the washer... :)

What do you mean a different mat for the washer? Different material? I dont think so.. I think it could easily handle a downforce of around 50-60kg's no problem (if not more).
I highly doubt it will transfer any condensation to the outer housing shell unless the evap is sitting on > -100c, & if there is, i'll just add a neoprene ring around the outer housing :) There's almost an inch of solid plastic between the evap & outer shell (depending on the size of evap used).
I will be testing it shortly with evap on -50c, i'll leave it idling for a few hours & see if there's any condensation ;)

Added LGA/478/S939/754/AM2 support. Also added centering washers to the springs so they dont move around while tightening.

Yes, sure, adding a piece of armaflex in the outer shell will help, but then, thats a fix for something that intends not to be fixed.
I'm not :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:ing your work, I'm just making a constructive critic, so you can make a better product.
The only bit actually touching the outer shell is the tip of the washer, as they are actually angled inward with neoprene either side. Even if the cold reaches that far its not going to be anywhere near enough to create condensation on the outer housing.Quote:

What I mean is that we (you , me and anyone doing any kind of enclosure) try get the perfect mounting system, I hate to insulate the outer part of the enclosure.
That material is called Polifan, is expanded extruded polystyrene, it's dense (3cm of polyfan insulates like 12cm of wood), and strong ( can tolerate a weight of up to 40ton/m2)
Mega mount revised. C-Washers now support both 1/4" & 3/8" suction lines. Added new mounting bracket & rear hold down plate. Got rid of the springs as they where to expensive :)
