Enjoy :D
It's a sweet looking board.
Problem? No ICH8-R.
Very nice board, well featured. However I doubt it will be the best overclocking board and that is what I am looking for.
LOL altavista certainly does some rough translations (yes I do understand that translating is ridiculously hard)
Its quite and awesome board.
Mostly, ill be buying this, as I need a damn Crossfire Supporting board. RD600 isnt supp to release till like August/Sep.. Which is sad :(.
I can't believe they put a 4pin power connector .... :(
Why crossfire only on the good looking asus boards? I dont feel like doing a complete changeover and get rid of my vid card aswell.
Because Crossfire is only for the 975X chipset. And those are the premium boards...
if it wouldn't have an heat-pipe and a parallel port, I would get it.
that's my board man!
just ordered one and it should be shipped on 21. June! (some shops equal with their dates).
and for ~200€ excl delivery it's right at my price! *yeeehaw*
Great let us know how it clocks!
ROFL the babelfish translation:
:ROTF:Quote:

But the 4 pin power is holding me back and it wonders me if this board is as good as P5WD2-E Premium
What's so great about the ICH8-R?Quote:

not much. advanced hardware monitoring features and "Intel Fast Memory Access" technology are the biggest points. the last technology is senseless. because latencys do not have such a big effect on Intel based systems...Quote:

Damn, that just seals the deal for me! :p:Quote:

God, it gets better!Quote:

i like that fan you can put at the end (or the beginning) of that heatpipe/fins mechanism. should work well.
Intel prescotts and preslers do not require EPS12V (the 8 pin power connector) this is required only for XE cpus (955,965).Quote:

So you can't run 955's and 965's on this board :stick:Quote:

A food hard disk? This will do perfectly with my lunch date with Conroe, can't wait to pull out the tablecloths. Stable food delivery too, how can you go wrong?
On a serious note, that 259 Euro pricetag ain't pretty.
"Core 2 Duet" :D
preslers do require EPS12V (the 8 pin power connector) :)Quote:
