And this isn't even the enthusiast version. Yes, there WILL be a LanParty 975X board from DFI that is Conroe-ready.
I wonder how much better it would perform on the Enthusiast version

If it come as a Lanparty,i may consider getting it instead of the R600

not quite. I have had both at the same time. The Lanparty overclocks slightly better, possibly due to the better power support and voltage options. However I don't see the voltage going much higher than this :slobber: but I think we will be seeing a digital PWM on all future Lanparty boardsQuote:

LP version is due to be seen late August/early September. Designed by the man himself, Oskar Wu.
swish, wait are you talking about the 975x version or the RD600 version? or both :D
RD600 will come first
Cool, I'm gonna trust your Xtreme intel on this one and hang fire on my Conroe build! Was gonna plump for a P5B or P965 Platy, but if an uber DFI board is only 3 months out, I'd rather wait :DQuote:

Sorry to dig this thread up from the dead, but are you absolutely totally 1000% sure about this dude? Don't mean to question your intel, but I literally haven't head ANYONE else mention a 975X Lanparty board, and to the contrary many people have said there will never be one... is Oskar still working on it, or is it only in fact the RD600 and nForce 500 boards that will come out as Lanparty?Quote:

i think it's only rd600 and 590 chips.
The motherboard is no use if you cant get hold of a :banana::banana::banana:ing Conroe. :(
Why use 975X when RD600 completely Owns 975X at stock and overclocked and it overclocks farther too :rolleyes:Quote:

Not even remotely infact one could even consider it being a touch understated.Quote:

Man sometimes I think you come up with golden statements like that for the comedy value...Quote:

well, the number's Sumanji gathered aren't from the final version, the only part that the CURRENT version tested that has problems is the ASync memory, which shows in Everest, ever think maybe nn saw something else, maybe even did his own testing, that he can't release info on? funny how most of what he does say comes true....yet you all seem to only pick and choose what info he gives out, u like...and stuff from fugger/fcg/etc are word of god(not that anything they've said aren't true)

Although there are many ways to improve performance, ATI's goal is to push for higher CLK running in SYNC with the Memory. Some of the other methods include FSB/HTT Link, Memory Freq (via higher FSB/HTT or RAM divider), Memory timings, overclocking the PCIe bus and video cards.
According to information we gathered, the final revision will enhance ASync memory. Currently, with a similarly configured i975X system, the ATi RD600 performance is better due to Xpress Route which is more efficient than then Dual PCIex8.
Well we'll come back to this thread in a few months and see... ;)
But really, all this is totally irrelevant considering the thread is about 975X boards. All I want to know is if there is a LANParty version coming out or not!
Suman
i think nn is commenting on the overclocking performance and not so much the chipset performance.
