I got so tired of waiting for that to come in stock anywhere, I resorted to desperation and hacked up a giant copper heatsink I had laying around...... :( Still would like one of those though.

Ya, when I heard about it, I went to so many stores to see "out of stock". Then I found the PPCs one, and saw they ship to Canada by USPS, not UPS, so I emailed them and Hank Baron (nice guy) let me know they were ordering some...

I was pretty happy :)

Wow these are copper fins compared to alu fins. I jsut ordered too. Dunno why. I have an overabundance NB coolers already.

you should send one my way, i've got a busted abit stock nb heatsink, the fan died so i just have an 80mm sitting in front of it to keep it cool

I think this thing is a rip-off. For small heatloads (like a chipset) the normal base-fin design is atleast as effective and much cheaper.

Guys don't you realise $34 is a rip-off for 1 heatpipe, a LED and some fins? Just compare it price-wise with the Big Typhoon ;)

I can afford the $34 :rolleyes:

And no, I'm paying for silence. The hailed evercool and such that's "quiet" is certainly not. It's a piece of :banana::banana::banana::banana: really. I could care less about the heat, the stock fan does that well, I'm paying for quiet. As well, the normal passive chipset cooler gets in the way of things.

And screw the big typhoon, I prefer watercooling over a kilo ton on my mobo :/ Same price too.

I had the first revision when they first came out on my NF4 Ultra D. It cooled better than the stock fan and was quiter to boot. It was well worth the money spen on it.

You guys have any pics of it installed? Does it fit in with 2 cards in SLI (still thinking about picking up a second 7800GT from eBay to hold me off till gen 2 DX10 cards as well as give me bragging rights :p:).

I got the same one as s7e9h3n for review. It is a great cooler and can be used passively as long as you have a case fan blowing over it such as an intake. I would love to revisit my review and compare the two.

I have found that performance-pcs.com (owner Hank Baron) is at a whole new level in terms of products and prices. They also happen to have a huge line of Lian-Li customizations that no other business has been found to have.
