Apogee GT- Bringing sexy back
Although I think the Apogee GT is a good looking block in its stock form, its mounting bracket just didn't match my aesthetic plan in my current build. I made this new one from .080" copper sheet today. I drilled the mounting holes and milled the inlet/outlet hole on the CNC mill, rounded the edges on the sander, and removed material from the sides with the floor punch. I filed out the punch and sanding marks, then polished with a buffing wheel and red rouge to remove the remainder of the marks. Then I brushed it with a scotch-brite pad, and gave it a quick spray of matte finish.
