CASUAL USERS
The kit is shipped factory pre-filled, ready for plug-and-play installation, and it is maintenance free during its warranty period.
Both Swiftech's powerful MCP30 pump and high-pressure Helix fans are PWM compliant devices, allowing the H220-X to be recognized and speed-controlled by the motherboard depending on CPU temperature, just like a regular cooling fan.
As a bonus, the system also includes our PWM splitter allowing connection of up to 8 PWM devices which can then be controlled as one by the motherboard.

ENTHUSIAST USERS
The system can be entirely customized thanks to easily replaceable tubing and fittings.

Any performance reviews? Even if it is cool/convenient, at $140 it better be significantly better than our run of the mill performance air coolers (which can be got for as low as $30).

@Alig, one more thing: as we say in the product page intro, these products are clearly aimed at performance oriented users (from casual, to hard core enthusiast).. if you do not consider yourself a user of this type, then this product might not be for you.
air cooling is very competitive these days, and the huge heat pipes all perform well, and quietly. you obviously can't cool the graphics with them, but if you dont have a vacuum cleaner of a graphics card (some are), then you'll be fine :-)

Because the pump is mounted differently this time, is it noticably quieter now or the same as the H220? Wondering if these aio's will ever be able to get pumps as quiet as a good decoupled one like a D5.

In the assembly room where Bryan has been testing them, I stuck my ear next to the kit running at full speed, but couldn't hear the pump.. .I find this thing damn quiet if you want my personal opinion, and I'm rather picky.

What about push/pull compatibility? Is the pump mounting interfering with any fan configurations. I prefer using a push setup to reduce noise, preferably from the bottom to out the case.

That's good to hear as I do qualify "performance user" (I run my 2500k at 4.8ghz on just over stock voltage). My main concern is just that recent air products have actually eclipsed some of the all-in-one water cooling kits for a considerably lower price.

next question: is for middle Europe some local office? If is it possible get the sales to www.czc.cz or www.alza.cz, the biggest eshops in CZ. Thanks.

i hope Swiftech has sorted out the pump problems they had on the H220 set . Im on my second replacement already because of pump failure .
Performance of the set is really good though ! Much better than corsair sets ive owned . Just reliability of the non X version lacks , so I hope the H220-X has a better (read more reliable) pump .

Thanks for the answer but it's not 100% clear to me, is the pump quieter than the H220's or has it not been tested/measured yet? Linus's review of the H220 when paired with quieter fans than the stock ones said the pump was loud at full speed until set to a lower speed.

Why would you want it to run at full speed? There is no performance advantage to this.

I wouldn't want to, but to get the H220's pump to very quiet levels it seems it needs to run near its lowest speed or 5%-10% according to Martins tests which would be 1200rpm or a tad over.. making noise 38 decibels for the pump alone, a bit more noise than a 1,000rpm GT fan. So if the H220x is the same noise wise as the H220 it would mean it's impossible to get quieter pump noise than those fans.

Decoupled D5 pumps are in the 32-36 decibel range from their lowest to max speed.

Not even sure what the H220x would be like at 5% pump speed but that's without adding in an extra radiator or graphics card block.

@ CriMInalA and @ BMG - No need to worry about the Swiftech H220-X pump , it uses a new more powerful revised pump , tested and re-tested for months on end for your peace of mind , no pump failures or reliability issues to worry about on the H220-X I can re-assured you that with confidence.

@ Shadow of Chaos - The pump of the H220-X is PWM speed controllable and it is very quiet , please wait for the proper reviews with noise data to pass judgment on the noise ratio of the pump. Reviews will be out soon.

@chispy you're confident about the pump quality , that's good :)

Can the rad hold 4 120mm fans actually (2 on either side) ? or can it only have 2 120mm on the non pump/res side .

@ CrimInalA - My friend , the pump inside the Rad will block one 120mm spot for installation of a 4th fan in push-pull (so you can only do 3 120mm total). but honestly, with the gains we had thanks to using the apogee XL, I'm not worried about that :-)

I wasnt worried about cooling performance , Just wanted confirmation that the new X unit cant be installed in as many ways as the non x version could .

fex: The H220 is in my side panel , with 2 fans on the inside of the rad (pull,sucking cool air from outside the case trough the rad onto my motherboard) . Any configuration with 2 fans on the inside of the rad blowing air on the motherboard is not possible so I need to take that into account and find another mounting method should I buy an X version . I've always installed like this so dust isnt building up between fans and rad, dust is easily removable from the outside of the rad . Whereas in other scearios where fans are pushing trough the rad (either from inside or outside) to get all the dust out , the fans need to be removed .

So the only installation where i can easily remove dust is to have the fans on the outside of the rad , sucking air out of my case .
2 things to keep in mind with that installation method :
-I have to open my case to vacuum clean the rad
-Cant have fresh air blowing into my case

Nothing major but something to keep in mind .
