I have a XSPC duel res in my ATCS 840 case, the case has toolless installation so I am tempted remove the toolless parts and screwing it fast tight. But anyone that has this res that can report if they also have vibration issues?

i got vibration too with this res. The only way i found to solve it is to suspend the res with elastic. At least, i not recommand this res because 2 pumps like DDC make noise when running too closer.
Anyone?
no vibration issues using MM U2-UFO, try adding rubber washers between the res and bay cage .
Think I will try and use my Lian Li V2110B and see if its any difference, if it is then I will have to mod that to fit a triple and a double rad
I tried a XSPC dual res in my ATCS and had some major vibration noise. The problem is that the res is a little too big for the drive bays. Did you have to really work to get the res into the drive bays on your ATCS?
I had a discussion about this in a thread a while back, basically the res is slightly larger than the ATCS's drive bay and all the vibration is getting transferred to the case. Before getting the ATCS I had mine in a Cosmos S and I had no problems with the noise.

Here's the old thread.
I despise tool less cases for just this very reason. On every tool less case I got, it seems they made the drive cages larger than the standard to accommodate their worthless mounting mechanisms and it doesn't always seem to work right.:shakes:
In the case of the ATCS, the drive cages are too small.
Here are the measurements taken by coolmeister:
measurement taken side to side on the bit that actually slides into the chassis
ATCs 840 chassis = 146.7mm
Standard DVD ROM Drive = 146mm
XSPC Dual DDC Reservoir = 147.7mm
XSPC Clear Dual Bay Reservoir = 145.4mm
It looks like the XSPC res is wider than a standard DVD-Rom. If XSPC just stuck to the same specs that everyone else does, then the vibration wouldn't be a problem.
On a separate note, are there any performance numbers for the dual ddc bay res?
