Intel core 2 duo Conroe E6700@MSI 975X Platinum default Vcore OC 3.2G more

-
Anxiously awaiting more results. I hope this board can give volts :)
And just in case i haven't rubbed it in enough Coolaler, i really appreciate you sharing the results, it's always top notch from you.
BTW, 3.2 on stock volts, what cooling are you on?
-
Great Job coolaler, but you cant change the vcore yet, can you??
+1 Question:
Are u using the final model of the Mobo??
You cant change the vcore because of mobo??
:)
Tks, continue w/ur great job.
-
-
You should be able to get to 3.4Ghz on stock air/volts with that chip ;)
-
Your other results were on an E6400 correct? So the E6700 should clock even higher?
Nice :)
-
-
-
Keep in mind, this is all stock voltage. GJ coolaler.
EDIT: Just noticed this is rev. B

So it's not 1.15v aka stock volt?
If not, atleast the LN2 score doesn't look good really. I'm not so thrilled about the aircooling score either if it is not stock volt :stick:
If it's still stock vcore then it's awesome on the other hand ;)
-
-
Good job Coolaler:) Your a XXIP in my book. Since you have been at XS you have given the community a lot of hard work and great information.:toast:
-
hehe, impressive again!
Cant wait to see it with more vcore.
-
Wow awesome results, thanks a lot for all the benchmarks and screens!! Very so appreciate it.
-
Broken into the 13.xx SWEETNESS....
Wonder if the MSI allows Vcore change....
Man i can't wait
-
-
-
-
-
:woot: Your the man.
-
Haha, the SuperPi double hat trick.
Congratulations!
-
quadruple hat trick :)
Very nice !

-
insane

-
Congrats man
But can you please specify the vcore you are using in these benches?
Thanks,
Alexio
-
congrats on getting 5 WR's at once, but where's 16M? ;)
-
your 2mb spi, is faster than my 1mb spi.
-
If i didn't know any better, i would say you had hax! ;)

i say go and get all 1M through 32M.

5 WR's at once that is impresive !

I'd like to know too. Pleeeease measure Vcore point with a DMM if you can.:stick:
-
your not far from 4.0 Ghz. keep going!
-
wow, congrats, very nice work.
i can't wait to get a conroe.
-
Conroe = geek crotch rocket. Go ahead and twist the throttle all the way back. Congrats.
-
can't wait for this chip...what are temps like?
-
OMG...u and Fugger are neck to neck!! lol...dis is fantastic competition....like a dozen of WR broken in the past 24 hrs!
-
-
This is very impressive, this almost seems to good to be true. I cant wait to actualy get my hands on one!! Dang good show man.
-
-
when do conroes actually come out?
-
comes out sometime in July...late June...round there...
Edited: did not see properly...
-
I'm curious, why would they be putting out chips that will be putting up such high overclocks? When these chips are getting like 40%+ overclocks on stock volts, you'd think they'd just up the stock clock of these chips a couple hundred more mhz, then they'd really be on top of amd, no?

Why blow your load on the first release? You want to hold some back for when 65nm AM2 comes out, and for K8L.
-
havent seen so many WR broken at once
-
Still without mobo mods ??
I can't wait scores with LN2 and Vcore 1,6V :D ...
-
go on, run 1m at 3.7ghz just to rub it in to fugger. Make him bench even higher.
Who will be the first at 4ghz with conroe?
And...i think the stock vcore for these chips is 1.3v correct? And stock vcore for Merom is 1.15v.

Your board has more bandwidth from the pi times. Nice show :toast:

Do you have such an option in the bios too like FUGGER?

This is the marketing trick.... if you release full bore ahead, you put downward pressure on not just your competitors product but your own resdiual inventory. Intel still needs to sell a few million Netburst chips and the transition will not be like flippin' on a light.
Other incentive includes holding back a plan B if it is needed to retain leadership, specing down the clock is a common method.
Typically, the natural lifetime of a product sees 4, 5, or even 6 major steppings and several minor one's in between which optimize layout or backend wiring that generaly give better performance through natural evolution as well, so I would not be surprised to see Conroe get to 3.8 GHz or slightly higher stock before it reaches the end of the product cycle and Penryn comes on line.
In all, seeing these chips OC like they are, the 65 nm has a lot of room to grow.

Thank you once more for a very nice and comprehensive set of benches coolaler, it's much appreciated. :toast:
Threads like these just make me long more and more for Conroe.

-
-
WOAH.
Nice bus speed as well.
I know myself and many others have said this, but we can't re-iterate it enough - your are an absolute gem, Coolaler. If i was admin, you'd be an XIP already, the vast numbers of results you've given has have put everyone else to shame.
Keep up the fantastic work, and we are all eternally greatfull.
That said, any chance of using that vast conroe power to compress the images a wee bit? They take a while to load, and there are lots of them.
-
He is a XIP, notice his name in blue?
-
oh..i thought that just meant he had done something special, 'cos it doesn't say X.I.P. in his title. Silly me.
-
-
XIPs can change their title.
Coolaler....that's some INCREDIBLE stuff there!! That CPU is a honey, too bad you can't give it more volts (well, I guess it's more fun this way...between you and FUGGER, you've got the better CPU and he's got the vcore adjustment, pans out, no? :p: )
You and FUGGER deserve a round of applause for sure

I want one too :D

Heh, G1 you matched me.
I guess I will have to run some more pi.
:toast:
-
once more, the WR is tied. 12.984s for both sides.
Does this chip know no limits?

Coolaler
Can the MSI mb disable one core like Fuggers Intel can?
-
Great work my friend :D i love youre work!
-
coolaler:
I see that you still have both cores enabled?
Can you disable 1 core and see miracle happen :D

Congrats to "old man and dog" you are a great team :D
coolaler - thank you for sharing all of your amazing results.

And here is the picture, you can also set 'maxmem' in this area as a tweak. To get here go to: Run --> msconfig --> BOOT.INI --> advanced option
Safe and restart after setting /NUMPROC= 1 ;)

Good luck coolaler, it should help atleast somewhat :)

welldone:banana:
coolaler
cheer for five world reconds:toast:

Damn!!! Go to bed and wake up to this! Conroe is already a monster and adding Vcore just makes it that much nastier! I want one with fries please :fact:

Welldone m8. Seems like you have a lot more to give

Coolaler has B0 Conroe
FUGGER has A1 Conroe
See the difference man
-
coolaler got better performance from his board then fugger gets from his and A1 will be the revision for the retail chips I believe? So there's not a big difference there.

I mean only OC'ing:
3.0Ghz @ Air @ Stock Volts with Coolaler's A1
and 3.3Ghz @ Air @ Stock Volts with Coolaler's B0
And 3.8 @ Stock Volts + LN2 is very impressive
compared to 3.9-4.0 FUGGER's @ max vcore IMO
BTW B0 (or even B1) not A1 will be for retail chips, so ...

But does that stop the 2nd core from putting out heat? Prolly not...
But if one core is weaker and the other core is better this trick can help, except if it's like my X2 where core 0 is the weaker core

Guys don't FORGET that coolaler is with LN2 cooling and FUGGER is with a Vapo single phase change.....;)
Way to go coolaler....:) :toast:
-
But still hipro, coolaler got stock vcore and fugger got 1.6v ;)

I agree with you on that. I'd take Coolaler's cpu any day.:D
