welcome back opp:toast:
It kinda has a cold bug but it's the best chip I have, in fact it's the only CPU I have:DQuote:

Good to see you again Eric.
You running that under one of Dave's cascades??
Expecting some front page domination again from you. And at almost $900 a pop, I can see why its your only chip atm. Then again, I recall seeing a pic of either you or MrIcee of a closet full of motherboards at one point, so one cpu is a little surprising.
How's the school work treating you?
Yep, still useing my PCIce cascades, got three of them here.Quote:

I wanna see you strap one of those durons under your cascade there:DQuote:

It's capable of much, much more but I've got a bad mount and my bh5's didn't want to go much higher @ 3.65V :p: Sorry for the OT....Quote:

Forgot to mention, with the server things out of the way I will update my 3D scores with cascade. Current stuff up is vapo/air
Thnx for the info :toast: . Luckily my evap temps don't usually drop below -75C while in windows so I may be just inside cold-bug territory with my autocascade.Quote:

Nice run Fugger!! :toast:
Is that 2 cards or one? Do those ATI cards have any cold bug issues?
OPP
I've not heard of any coldbugs yet in the ATI cards. I'd like to see you play around with them in crossfire.
I wish I had a couple:DQuote:

This is a wonderful time for '01 :) It has been very long since the front page had such a variety of CPUs and graphics cards.
FX60, Dothan 780 and 955XE. GTX SLI, GTX512, GTX512 SLI, X800XTPE, X1800XT, X1800CF and X1900XTX.. What a race! 01 will never die ;)
Nicely said :)Quote:

Yeah lots of possible combinations and lots of good overclockers trying them all out.
Fantastic time to watch the pro's at work.
And all for free !

Welcome back Master of Overclocking and 3Dmark.
Nice to see the God of Ocing at Work.
I can’t for the life of me get these 2 7800 cards in SLI to bench on the MSI mobo with the cascades running.
I have managed to run 3D05 about 4 times all the way through in 2 days. This was at stock card clocks. Then when I do a slight overclock on the cards the mobo shuts off half way through. Either this OCZ 650 PSU can’t handle it, or something on the mobo freaks out. I have no Idea.
They run fine one at time.
Now I have to tear apart my 24/7 PC to get my DFI Expert out to test the cards on that.
At this point, I don’t miss overclocking one bit:D
OPP
look on the bright side, you have all this expensive hardware to play with at will, i can only dream of having that stuff to play with :(Quote:

hahaha.
psu is my guess.
looks stable, but 11.64 isnt that hot to start with though, my tagan never goes below 12 fully loaded, even with my old 4800 x2

Thats a Mobo specific. The Sensors are not same quality.
Prime Counts and not what SG shows!!!
Priem 95 V24.14 Custom FFTs in place changing every 15 minutes.
Thats the ultmate heating for the Chip.
SP2004 is Prime Lite.
don't trust the moboreading
only give numbers with multimeter!:)
OPP you NEED two PSUs...
then my psu must be around 13 volts then if sg reads it wrong as its reading 12.54 now.Quote:

You must only raise Voltage a little Bit.
me and Kinc hade same problem when we used only one OCZ 600w psu. The psu shut off. But when we used 2 x 600w psu all was good :)Quote:

Welcome back Legend and fight
btw I used to all o/c action HK-350 AP power supply and is very ok - P4 630@5.6GHz and rock stable rail on 3.3, 5, 12v lines. Multimeter read.
OPP - 650w?
If these 600's had the +12's combined they would tear it up quite a bit more.. the split rail just doesnt do them justice :(
How about one of those 700w Zippy monsters?
a good choice might also be the pcp&c 1000w psu
That would be my choice with 1 huge 45A 12V rail. I loved my Zippy 6701.....Quote:

That is certainly true, but you start seeing people losing weight because they cant eat due to buying a psu. :rotf:Quote:

After switching to the DFI mobo, I have new theory :D
I don’t think it’s the PSU or the the MSI mobo.
I have a feeling the problem is the slave 7800 card. It had a strange cold bug when I originally tested it but it still worked, I figured it would work Okay when in SLI, I guess not.
Tomorrow I’ll switch it over to master and see if it will work better there.

lol, posted at same time - yeah, i'm working on it a bit but a bit swamped with other stuff for a while.
I believe I figured out my problems.
2 of them actually. First is I have a cold bug issue on one of the cards. I can work around it by using it as a master and boot up and go into windows at -50C or warmer, after in windows I can run her at -85C no problem and bench SLI all day (stock clocks)
Now, since I figured this out I have a second problem. My PSU dies under a heavy overclocked SLI load.
So I definitely need a new PSU, a new 7800 would be nice also:D
