The official Opteron single core over clock data base.

Please post your results here and I will post them/edit this thread. The goal here is to make an accurate data base to compare stepping’s, so people have an idea of which are good and which are crap.

A few things before you post:

1) Post your results in this format, i.e.: CABYE 0536 GPMW - 2900 MHz - 1.452v AIR - your Username

2) Include a screen shot that clearly shows CPU speed/voltage along with proof of stability in one.

3) Please don’t post some thing that is only stable for 20 minutes, examples of acceptable test would be 32m of SuperPi, or at least 1 one hour of Prime95. If you have another test go ahead and post and it will be posted here if acceptable.

Just respond in this thread with results with some thing like a screen shot of test such as Prime95 / SuperPi /Cpuz. Make sure to including stepping & voltage, and I will post them in this thread.

I just got my 2nd 146 in the mail today from NCIX, i'ts a CAB2E 0546FPAW, and I am still trying to find it's limit, this is one hell of a nice chip. Right now I am at 2.55GHz stock voltage S&M stable and still climbing. I will post my final results.

Nice, well I found it's max. It seems to be 2.95GHz at 1.55v, it does 3GHz with 1.65v but it still failed S&M after about 10 minutes into the FPU test, and I don't want to use any more voltage because I am also on air.

I figured proof of stability meant something meaningful. 30 minute OCCT test, 30+ inutes of prime, 32M which takes almost 30 minutes, etc. 8M isn't proof of stability, because that means you can't do a 32M and the system is pretty unstable.

It had a box popped up that displayed the statistics, but I accidently rotated to far on my chair and the arm hit the enter key on the bottom right and closed the box, and I don't feel like doing that again for another 2:15 :) The CPU can go higher, but it dosn't play nice with the RAM. This is at 1.6v (1.425 * 113%), BTW

Here's my overclock. Note -- not going for best pi times here....just testing cpu. This is on air with a TT Big Typhoon, IHS Removed, AS5 on a DFI Ultra-D using Bios 623-3. :toast: Cpu is a Opteron 148 CABYE 0540 FPBW. Needs 140 divider to run at 3.1....gonna tighten the timings down soon.

140 divider at 3.0-3-3-6-1T, just to see the max. I'll post more if I squeeze anything else out of her. This is on air in my small room in my house (the warmest room in the house to boot). So no outside freezing cold trick here yet. ;)

Dave you should have a requirement for a particular stability test (i.e. 32M or an hour of prime) or the results are not really comparable.

I see most of the peeps posting 32m shots....so I'd say that's probably the baseline for a max single core opteron overclock on whatever cooling you are using. Just be descriptive and state your cooling, cpu type, and type of stability test used. :toast:

This is true, I wouldn't accept the 8m of superPi earlier. I think these are good test to prove it. My goal in making this wasn't to see who is the Best over clocker, but rather have a data base to compare where your cpu is at when you look up the stepping. I was kind of hoping out of good faith people would try to be as honest as possible. I will edit the thread to require more for future posters.

Sounds good. The reason I suggested that is because max clocks will be alot different between various stability tests. For example, since optis run so hot, you can usually run a 32M at close to 100Mhz higher speed than you can run prime over a longer period. Standardization of stab tests will give more of a apples to apples comparison so people will know what to expect. :)

Ill add results from a 148 and 150 later tonight.

Forgive the GIF compression - just used a quick paint grabbie. But the new speed is 3133 1.600v air. Please update the results. Also take note -- this is on a pretty messed up windows install that is not fresh and I wasn't going for low pi results or anything. Just solid benching. I may post some updated pi results with tighter timings if I can.
