Nice. Looks like i might have to jump a CABYE soon. It is very hard to find CABNE, and i am afraid the overall quality of opterons might drop a bit soon.

These Opertons sure does look good!

I'm thinking of buying one my self altough I have no idea what stepping it might be. Should I go with a random operton 146 or a random 3200+ venice for my gaming/benching rig if I want to get a good OC.

absolute record

better at stock than with my cascade...

at -17 -18C = 3118 with 310p or 623-2 bios
-28C no windows boot at 3GHz
at -45 -50 I'm sure there is a cold bug at 2800-2850

very weird

on air I can bench at 3.1GHz - 60-65C

help me please :D

I tried and at -35 -37C I can boot in windows at 265*10!!!!!!!!!!! :woot:

he's on dice
seem like many of them cant boot or arent stable when it too freezing (-20c n' below)
he got his up by playing with high vcore (1.8v n' above)
maybe he can help u better since u are on a cascade ;)

I have some very very weird temps

sometimes I have -35 -37C bios and -26 in windows, after in the bios there is -14

with 1.92v the mb creates a shutdown
so the real temp is for example -10 and I see 60C
with 1.87v no problem

the best temp is around 2-3C and I get a valid at 3595MHz!!!

I'm using the ricky tweak, a few minutes ago I just saw 3602MHz ......................

Nice cpuoverclock! My chip hasnt run into any cold bugs just the divider thing. My chip didnt like any voltage over 1.72v which I got to 3.7ghz with. Now that chip is sold and I have another cabne 0530 to play with. Results soon to come.

I have a T-rex II to cool the cpu [venice 3200@290x10 v.core 1.52] and in idle the temp is -6 gradees belove zero without any problem.
With the same temperature, will I have cold bug with opteron 146 2.0ghz ?

Got really sick of my Asus board so I went and bought a DFI Ultra-D! Will it support my Opty out of the box? And what BIOS shall I use? Can I use the same version as the SLI-DR boards? Also can I transfer my RAID-0 array over from my Asus board?

Yep it support Opty out of the box
As for bios, it's up to individual preference as different rams and board behaved differently

I just bought my Opteron 146, and it's a CAB2E 0540 FPMW, I can run PiFast @ 3.1ghz watercooled @ 1.6v, haven't tried higher yet, but so far I'm VERY pleased!!! :D

I'll try more benches this weekend of course ;)

Just got my 146, ordered it yesterday from newegg (3day shipping) and it came today :) ......Its a CABYE 0540FPMW :woot: Im gonna see what it can do with my Gigabyte board, valueram and stock cooler..........2x1gb OCZ EL Plat. and XP90c w/Panaflow are on the way, possibly DFI Ultra-d if my current board doesnt cut it :D I work all day tomorrow, so Im gonna have to wait till sunday to pop it in.......Ill let you know how it goes

Usually I search for onlineshops on geizhals.at/de and fire up an email to the first 10 shops and ask if they have the stepping I want. Overclockers.de seem to be the only shop with stepping guarantee. It's a bit of a pain to find the CPU of your desire in Germany :(

But luckily the big shops answer in less than 24hours.

He is using 140 divisor (140/200 = 7/10), your memory is running on 250Mhz i think. CPU-Z fails reading that divisor. Actually if you use that divisor and then run clockgens you get -1.00Mhz :)
