piu piu voglio piu gigi.....ma da dove sei ? vieni a trieste e portami qualche memoria :D
Son of a......nice ram but i wanna see 300 at tighter timings :slapass:
unless he does twtr 1 it doesnt get much tighet than that
id like to see trcd at 3... but thats to much to ask:D.
woww...any idea when they hit stores? :p
Only 2.6v for 2.5-4-3-7 DDR600?
Try higher volts
CAS 1.5 @ DDR400  :woot:
EDIT: whoa whoa what's this? on the heatspreader sticker: "Specially made for GEIL Fan Club 10"
Is special made for GEIL Fan Club ID Gigi77 Italy(ianocean is mine)and at my first test is hit 290Mhz 2.5-3-3-7 1T and 305Mhz 2.5-4-3-8 1TQuote:

so 2-2-2-5 is not as good as 2-2-2-6???
"tRAS is unique in that lowering it will not always increase performance this document from mushkin outlines how tRAS should be a sum of tRCD, CAS, and 2. At values lower than that theory would dictate a drop in performance, and at values higher an unnecessary wait will be introduced. For example, if you are using a tRCD of 3, and a CAS of 2 on your RAM, then you should set tRAS to 7. Read the mushkin article under the header ?What is tRAS and why is it backwards and important at the same time?? for a more detailed explanation of tRAS, complete with an excellent analogy."
any comments??
Low volt TCC? on the upper end of the performance scale for similar memory types, not nearly as impressive as your Venice at 3Ghz on with 1.5v. :slobber: Looks like water cooling in the pic but the temperature in Smartguardina indicate sub-zero cooling?
Would love to see 32M at those settings.
I'm sure everyone would like to see if the memory speed scales with voltage increase. Some TCC? don't like the volts, I need 3v for top performance on mine.
This is TCCD not TCC5
TreX II is ( WB+Peltier) + ice
I'am on vapochill LS cooling

huh how you manage 10x 200HTT with ram at 275mhz ???Quote:

can not reach OPB but he got better memory resources :stick:
nice clocks there.. :D
Thanks

Nice oc luigi... ANyways.. mine wont arrive till monday! poor me:(

i heard "this product is not going to be in production" from my friend works on geil
but i can't be sure about it
Yes that modules we've got are engineering samples for testing purpose and there will be retail packages also.Quote:

It will have a DISTRIBUTION price of around 240 $us.... So I dont know what they are going to be in shops...

hm , this 240$ worries me....so shops will certainly add some 30$ making it 270$ :(
I see some using tras of zero with decent results now at high htt.Quote:

Seems to be some good TCCD though. Versatile to say the least (this is the same stuff that can also do CAS 1.5 at DDR400, right?).
Yes they also do cl1.5-2-2-5 @ddr400.... Btw .. If they are going to cost around 270$us they are still cheaper as the OCZ PC5000...

Thanks!Quote:

These RAM sticks are nice. :slobber: I bet you they have a lot more in store.
gigi77 could you please compare that 333MHz@2.5-4-4-7 to 250-260MHz@2-2-2-5 on yours A64 system in some gaming and #DMark tests. i wonder would be there any difference. So are others i think.

Yes
gigi77 nice score there - Congrats :toast:
But could you make another 3DMark run with some 250-260 MHz@2-2-2-5(8). I`m very curious about how on-die low-latency mem controller works with low-timing RAM. Just wanna finally be sure what is better: high speeds/high timings or middle speeds/low timings.
Thanks
Yes Mr. Cooper
luigi
I have also recently received these modules and wanted to share with you all the great performance they offer.
The full pdf can be downloaded from here its about 190Kb so I could not host it here.
Here is an extract from my document.
Quote:
Summary of Results
As the memory is rated 1.5-2-2-5, I started with this first and achieved the following:
• DDR 400 1.5-2-2-5 @ 2.65v
• DDR 440 1.5-2-2-5 @ 2.65v
• DDR 450 1.5-2-2-5 @ 2.85v
And for 2.5-4-4-7 the results were:
• DDR 400 2.5-4-4-7 @ 2.65v
• DDR 440 2.5-4-4-7 @ 2.65v
• DDR 450 2.5-4-4-7 @ 2.65v
• DDR 480 2.5-4-4-7 @ 2.65v
• DDR 520 2.5-4-4-7 @ 2.65v
• DDR 560 2.5-4-4-7 @ 2.65v
• DDR 600 2.5-4-4-7 @ 2.65v
• DDR 620 2.5-4-4-7 @ 2.65v
• DDR 640 2.5-4-4-7 @ 2.85v
In order to use the settings of DDR 620 and DDR 640 I did have to drop the multi on the CPU from x9 to x8 as I did not wish to push the Vcore up further. So these results are compared slightly differently with equivalent CPU Ghz settings as you will see later on. Performance tuning is an art form and I am still working through getting more performance out of these modules. While the results are not presented here, I have been able to set some tighter settings, achieving DDR 600 2.5-4-3-6 @ 2.65v. I was also able to reach DDR660 @2.85v, see CPUz validation 25888, although I will need some time to stabilise at this point and probably need some extra cooling. Talking of stability, I am sure there will be comments about not running prime and for these tests, this was not done but as you will see SuperPi 32M was run for 300x9 2.5-4-3-6 1T and I have been running this configuration for several days 24/7 folding, gaming and other system intensive applications without a single BSOD.
for ncsa GO over 320/640 ddr!
I hit 330/660 but really need some extra cooling .. hence the Vapo is on the way :D
Have you guys tested the limits at 2.5-3-3 yet? I am interested to see if any of the top % of new TCCD can do 2.5-3-3 DDR600 like some older TCCD.
EDIT: Just noticed ianocean's post, pretty decent, anyone else try 2.5-3-3?
Not as yet, needed some time to work through the basics. But have now started to tune up a bit and seeing 2.5-4-3-6 but will update findings as we go along.
Any ETA on these or the BH Geil ONEs? I'm looking to pick up a set of both (definitely these...we'll see how much the BH ones cost).
Seeking this information ....
EDIT: I have been advised that the GeIL ONE have already gone to market and are available from local GeIL resellers.
The BH version is rated 2.55-3.80v :fact:

Where is this "One" sold and when will it be available?
in Germany the TCCD is advible at "alternate"
we are still trying to get a concrete date on these and the UTT modules,
apparently they are shipping to suppliers. check geil.com.tw for dealer info for ur area and check there.
targ
I checked most of the major Geil dealers in US and Canada, no one even has it skued yet that I could find :(
:D And here U can get the BH version in Germany (in stock !!!):Quote:

For the last time cas 1.5 is a gimmick. On a64 there is no CAS less that 2
Voltage warrenty? Honestly theres no way for a manufacturer to determine 3.5v vs 3.8v so it doesnt matter.
Redline can be had for a mere $180 while these retail for 230 USD
I agree totally. The price is a bit exaggerated, even it they´d OC 3~6MHz on average more then the other UTT based sticks.
:D Huh.... - are U sure brother:Quote:

You would have to be crazy to pay that, I can get 4000VX for $100 cheaper and I HIGHLY doubt it will be any better
Just because tweaker says cas1.5 doesn't mean it does anything. It's reserved, cas1.5 is BS. Take a read throughQuote:

Nice rams, but they aren't better than most of G.Skill 4400LE modules (even if they are guaranteed at higher clocks) :stick:
Have you tested trcd 3 at 300 mhz with spi 32M?
:D Any news from the UTT BH version?

Well VX can do 1.5-2-2-6 @ 250 mhz easily =)Quote:

Have bought the Geil ONE with BH-5 chips a few days ago...but sent them back to RMA...I wasn`t able to make them running stable even at 2-2-2-5 at 200FSB...have tried about 4 different kind of bioses and a lot of different settings...have tested at 200-225-230-240-245-250-260...with different latencyes and voltages from 2,6V till 3,6V withouth success. At the end it damaged my windows registry files and have to make a complete reinstall. So I was really disapointed with this BH-5 sticks and go back to Apacer PC4000 TCCD for now. But in few days will try the Geil ONE TCCD...hope with more succes thatn the BH-5 ones...
