umm just got to the site and find it yourself :stick:
Very nice, just in time...I'm getting my 0517APJW 3000+ tomorrow. Hopefully, this new BIOS works out well enough that I can flash it tonight and not have to play around a LOT when i get the new chip and start scaling it upwards.

The bin file, I like to flash with WinFlash ... :p:
I hope it will fix my cold boot problem! Gonna test now :woot:
EDIT:
Yeah! It did boot, with my 2 sticks of 512mb OCZ PC4000 VX! For the first time in weeks! I hope it will stay this stable, and the cold boot won't come back :toast: :toast:
Very exciting......nice to see some early success stories...I'll be flashing right away.
Sounds interesting, I'll give it a try.
It work with 2*256 KHX3500 BH5 too :toast:
Went back to 509-1.....flashed to 615 and my internet suddenly would not "work" and my MX1000 never did "start up"...flashed back to 509-1 and my internet and mouse work fine.
Too bad. :(
Weird, don't have that problem ... Check your LAN connections etc.Quote:

I updated the dfi-bios.tk page so the bios is there now.
I did check LAN connections, neither port would work. I'm using yellow slots ATM...I'll try orange to see if it helps.Quote:

My big questions.
a) Does this solve Cold boot for UTT (and the rare others) users?
b) If so, does this BIOS support UTT/BH5 in yellow slots just as good as Orange as the 510-2 BIOS does?
Thanks all
Could've been a fluke update - try to reflash it. Make sure to remove any overclock for the flash.Quote:

Sweet :p: Maybe I'm gonna check the yellow slots this afternoon . . .
yuhu many thanks
Is it better then the 5.10 bioses?
Wow, I'll try it :)
Well, even though I had high hopes for a new BIOS that solves the cold boot issue, this is not the one that does so. I tried with my mushkin redline 4000 and my ocz vx 3200, voltage from 5V rail, but still no boot with two sticks. Personally, from waiting so long, I believe that the cold boot issue is non-fixable.
finally my fuc***g adata vitesta 600 works @ 1T with this bios!!!! I was almost loosing any hope! Great job DFI!
Looks like they run out of space to and had to omit the letter 's'...

How about having...
Normal
Fast
Turbo <-- instead of Fastet (or in the case "fatest")
:)
does fastest bring any gains over fast from the 510-2 bios? What ram is fastest good for as I know normal is for value ram and fast was suppose to be for high speed dimms, BH etc.
BTW without a changelog im not flashing anything. I want to see what I am to look for in changes and gains.
LOL. BIOS typos :)Quote:

I haven't...and I didn't plan on doing it either, unless I can be TOLD that it'll get it workin' for me.Quote:

Gee, I didn't think of that.... Please forgive my sarcasm, but I have never had more problems trying to update to different BIOS until I got this board. I'm a little frustrated by it. I flashed back to 510 and all is back to normal again.Quote:

However, I'm not making the switch with my MX1000...so hopefully this is something that can be rectified rather quickly.
Cool, at least there are more who are seeing the same problem.Quote:

Just upgraded from 310 to 615 this morning, so far so good, it enabled CnQ to operate with my SD, pretty cool that it works perfect even with an OC'd system.
Hm, I am going to give it a try in hopes of overclocking my temporary Corsair ValueRAM higher
me too ,my Keyboard and mouse can't be recognized :( ...switch to PS2 Keyboard to flash bios to 5/10 the usb problem solved ,but can't OC now ,it is DFI mobo typical ?Quote:

Why are you guys so bozo about USB kb/mouse problems? All my USB keyboards and mice are hooked up to PS/2 through adaptors..
Before i shut down to install my 3000+ 0517APJW in 20 minutes I'll flash back to 615 and move the mouse to PS/2...cus yeah, I'm too damn eager NOT to try it out. :p:Quote:

I would complain. Saitek keyboard and Razer Diamondback plus doesn't work with adapter at all :PQuote:

Keyboard and mouse (both Logitech) on USB won't work.
On the other hand, my OCZ rev.2 sticks seem to work better with this bios than the 510-3 one.
With 510-3, at 280Mhz, 2.5-3-3-7, I was getting errors during a short memtest #5 (not many but still), but after flashing to the 615, I got no errors anymore.
I used the exact same timings as with the 510-3 bios.
285Mhz with those settings seemed ok too, no errors, but 290Mhz was a no go (thousands of errors).
Haven't tested this bios with my good old Corsair BH5. Don't know if I'll have the time for that anyway.
Same problem too. LAN ports works fine, but just keyboard/mouse. I have a et of Logitech diNovo going to a KVM then to machine via USB. Tried other USB keyboard/mouse and seems to be the same. Pretty strange... Back to 510-3 for the time being.
No probs for me, mx 500 & normal ps2 keyboard. Haven't checked yet whether it clocks better or not.
I have a bluetooth setup for my KB and Mouse (diNovo) guess I will be holding off on this.

I notice the thread at DFI got canned about the BIOS update.
Just updated Bios, no problems for me. I'm running Logitech PS/2 Keyboard and Razor Diamondback (USB). I noticed that the USB mouse option has gone missing in the BIOS, though it han't given me any problems yet.
I made a update on my website so people will know that the USB keyboard and mouse wont work if they flash with that bios.
hmm. Will try this when all bugs are worked out and when i get a new processor. Great to see DFI updating the BIOS alot. Does this have memtest in it or is that just in modded bioses?
I use the mx cordless duo setup for keyboard and mouse in my ps2 ports but I also keep a usb corded logitech mouse plugged in for when the batteries on the mouse get low, my USB mouse still works fine so maybe it only affects cordless usb mice.
Just flashed to v615 and USB devices not working properly also NV gigabyte lan not working. :(
I have not flashed that BIOS yet, but those of you with LAN go dead....
Have you tried manually entering MAC number in BIOS? The # is on that white sticker, on top of the LAN connectors...
No problems here with the new BIOS.
You guys with the problems: did you use winflash or the flash image?
You using a USB mouse or USB keyboard?Quote:

Those are all my usb devices currently connected and they are all still working and I'm still connected to the gigabit LAN here, uploading avg about 78mbps, downloading avg about 220mbps.
I wonder what the differences are that would be causing these issues?
I guess I'll try seeing if my Canon camera will still connect via usb as well.
I made a boot floppy and used awdflash to update mine, used reload to reload all my old settings, tweaked the memory somemore, basically I went through and rechecked all my bios settings as some had changed, that and I forgot to save my last settings before flashing which I didn't have saved in reload.
EDIT: Just now checked to see if my Canon camera still connects and it does, can view and download the pictures right from the camera, so thats everything I have to test on my usb other than a compact flash card reader which I'm sure will probably work at this point.
well been trying for 2hrs to get my lan back ....dead..nvraid dead...on another computer flashed bac to various diff bios still dead now what.reloaded all nv drivers still dead. :slobber:
I use a USB mouse (Logitech TrackMan Wheel) and the NV-LAN. No problems.Quote:

Glad i switched to the ABIT AN8 now.........
Had nothing but trouble with the SLI-DR....binned it...got the ABIT....no problems now at all
shame DFI cant sort out their QC cause they would be great boards if they did
anybody else having success with the cold boot issue? I've seen one yes and one no.
why are you :horse: in this thread, you've moved on to greener pastures, better and brighter things, just think happy thoughts......Quote:

Thank you OPB!
I successfully flashed using Winflash 1.76 with no issues - my mx1000 usb mouse works perfect as well as the onboard nvidia lan
Perhaps you can't use CMOS reloaded with saved settings from another bios?
I manually set every timing.
Also, I check every box (edit1: to update all areas) in Winflash when I image, and make it load cmos defaults.
Hth.
After flashing it I also tried shutting everything down and resetting cmos. That didn't help even after going through the bios and resetting all my settings. USB keyboard and mice that I was trying didn't work at all. I didn't try any other usb devices.Quote:

Please I NEED URGENT HELP! I have same problems with other beta bioses.I am readind every single forum about DFI and I see that this is a common problem but noone appearently has a cure!
just for ur interest, i've done it the same way and no issues till nowQuote:

Take care to set the RAID config manually again in BIOS - after flashing the previous setting disappears and if not done the HDD's running in RAID won't be recognized.

wow, gonna wait on this one. Seems to be messing stuff up with a bunch of guys.
