that's great and all, but why didn't you just post a screen shot? that would have been much easier to read and quicker than a 5min video. i could barely verify any numbers in SPi 1M. good job booting at those clocks though...
hard to read any of it for a 1 eyed biker lol
you need a louder fan :)
how about batch # too:D
and also test for highest stable clock with p95/orthos if you can
May I know the batch number ? :D
Very impressive CPU, completey pwns my E8600.
4g
4.5g
5g
5.04g
5.11g
capture screen pictures
im not impressed considering you were only using one core try using both cores and booting a 5ghz please enable both cores and show us what it can do
E8400 at 5.11G faster than Core I7 4.53G (air cool)
why is your cpu-z and coretemp not reading the cpu-string correctly?
hrm
there is some nice e84s e0 ya
jaredpace a disabled core gives the result u see
that cpu is sweet !
did you get lucky or cherry pick it ?
thats all eye have been looking for is an air 5.0 cpu (at reasonable volts)
verry nice
erickwok
E8400 at 5.11G faster than Core I7 4.53G you say ? =) well.
Then e8400 at 5.11ghz runs superpi at 9.156 sec and look at Core I7 4.53G you see 9.187 sec  explaing that mate ;) not faster than core i7 at 4,53ghz
Ownage mate !
I think in that video he was booting with 2 cores enabled unless he can disable one core in bios? I know Rampage Extreme has that option but does the Biostar have that option as well?
Do you mean 9.156 is not faster than 9.187?
W T F ....
Crazy good E8400, beats any E8400 batch I've seen and maybe E8600 too for that matter even if single core mode is used.
fpo ?
nice voltages , can u see photo with a multimeter ?
Q832a_ _ _ ;)
Dear All
the batch no. is Q832A214
Good Luck To All!!!!
erickwok
holy smokes man
that is a kick ass CPU
what's with all the haters in the thread
ya, what problem with my single core test result??
awesome work man!!! that beats my 8600... for 5G 1M stable I need 1.52v! One hell of a CPU u got there!
4ghz @ 1,1V
please try to underclock it :D
maybe 0,7V @ 1,5-2ghz will be possible :D
Nice chip erickwok  You've got a good one there.
Holy.... :D
I need 1.61v to run my E85 for 1m...
very nice cpu eric!
Nice CPU there.
Does it do 1 hr stability at 4.5ghz?
A lot of chips can survive for 10 min orthos but crash at the 12, 14, 18 or 30 min mark for one reason or another...
oh thats interesting its a Q832B
I don't know what is the big difference between A and B?????
Nice chip eric , I have eo 8400 also but don't know if it's any good so maybe i can also ask guys here . It's Q827A324 on dice.

Dfi dk t2rs+ is ok with high fsb but I chickened out of pumping more vcore, noob on subzero here. I'll keep trying.
Nice chip
Killer chip you have there man
My q827 , and that it is not max frecq i get , i do it only for fun .
And Spi1mb 5445mhz on SS .
http://www.hwbot.org/user.do?userId=5373
Sweet CPU erickwok look after it
i want one!!!!
so B's not coming to north america = assumption or truth?
and how can you tell from which week it is from the batch number?
590x8.5=5G enter window no problem
Air Cooling 5.18G 9.013s
next target ----> see 8s
:clap::clap:
And this is on a TP I45, right? I need one of these chips!
wow that's a very nice cpu.
Erik, wanna trade yours for a 8600? :D
Wow really impressive cpu you got there.
That thing's on drugs  Almost 5.2GHz on air!
Try strap tweak, should shave .0xx's off your SPI:D
BTW,you can get a 1M board to test if possible, this clock should be 8's something with the right board:shocked:
DFI LP DK P45 T2RS+ is good for 1M,so does Abit IP35 Pro
Anyway,dammmm nice chip there:clap:
Too bad 9x multi:(
erickwok your "B" is golden ....buy more of em :)
I have here 3x q830A E0. Can you tell me what type of aircooling you are using? i tested only one for a couple of minutes and i can do 9x500@1,23-24v for bench.
Still on the crap box cooling.
never never over 1.45V for SP2004
too hot for 4.7G
Hey erickwok good job on the Oc brother..I just pickup a E8400 EO Q832A
for $149.99 in the states. My question now is which numbers matter the most
the first 3 or the last 3 on the cpu to tell if you got a good chip to Oc with
Also see you got the BioStar TPower45 chip.. that I got on backorder at my
local Micro Center store here in the states good match..Ic they got the (B)
over there who got the (C) now..I gotta find the Memory your running
again great job:up: and the best of luck on your Rig:yepp:
Nice result men , But what the hell of noise this fan make , This look like a factory and no room :D:D:D (due to the noise)
erickwok, man with your cpu @ 5183, a DFi with pre-45nm bios and some nice 1M tweaking, one could pull off like 8.74x seconds :yepp:
Sick cpu !, do you want to trade with my E4300 ? :p: :D 3800MHz stable on air, 3950MHz max on air, 4464MHz max SPi 1M on dry ice ... :D
Can you test a quick 9x500 Orthos run? To see how much vcore is required? You're a lucky guy!
very nice !!!
i would drop that bad boy on ebay and let the bidding begin .
i demand you to give me your golden E8400...RESISTANCE IS FUTILE.:D
Just insane chip. I`d like to have the same one...
nice chip vould like to see it on sub zero:)
B + 1.2000vid = 5+ghz
not surprising at all :)
congratz on acquiring great chip
Well done
What fan is that attached to your heatsink?
Any further results?
A few results from my E0

Those new E0 are killing me , most people get 5 Ghz with 1.4 or even lower under SS , I start to hate my chip (C0)which require 1.55v to be stable , u got a golden E8400
I wonder what my new e8400 Q836A368 can do... ;)
:eek:omg VERY NICE CPU
Had it a 4.5 was'nt stable so gonna keep
it at 4.0 with low volts for right now
idling temps at 32c great:yepp:
I know it will do more not gonna
push just yet easy into it...down the line

Temps only got up to 53c under stress that's great in my book:)
next build will be water cooled for sure haf932
Oop's I almost forgot this test 2:)

Amazing...wish I could get one like that too...:p:
Just like to know more about the stability of the gold chip at 5GHz. Can this chip pass Prime 95 on small FFT, for at least 12 hours, erickwok?
Thank you very much for sharing it with us
I am now waiting for a new Copper Thermalright Heatsink to break my air cool record.;)
http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_pa..._t_copper.html
To the OP: I realize XS places an odd fascination with SuperPI, but is this overclock OCCT stable? 3D Stable (e.g. passes a couple hours of regular gaming use)?
