Thanks Rick!
Just wanted to confirm that it is working:

Unforttunately my card cant handle that clocks on air, så I wil flash back to my costimized bios at 250/1000 --> 780/1000
so...the voltages and stuff are all the same?
having trouble flashing my saphire 4870, anyone got a good guide?
thanks
look at the other 4870 oc bios thread for a guide to flashing your bios using atiflash though command prompt.... that should be helpfull...
the asus oc bios has a better fan profile as it keeps your gpu at 60c....
Voltages are the same..
Yes better fan profile, but certainly also very noisy
Cant wait to see some 900Mhz clocks now..
^ You won't. I have had the card for more than a week now desperately trying to make it run even close to what the hype was bellowing. I went through two cards myself, and I have had a couple of people go through theirs as well. Even the stock 800/1100 does not perform flawlessly. ATITool will cause it to artifact in longer runs, and FurMark will generally either artifact or crash it in longer runs. See this thread...
http://forum.ncix.com/forums/index.p...d=0#msg1758013
...and this thread...
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=1#post3180781
I am currently running the card at 855/1175 and it appears to be more or less stable. I tweaked the volts a bit to give the core 1.344V at load, and memory to 1.609V at load. You cannot do this through the BIOS however so this is a hard-mod.
Oh, and I must say, this spreads fast, I just uploaded that BIOS to the MVKTech and to this site last night, hehe :) I guess people really wanted it.
Flashed my Palit 4870s to this bios and was greeted by graphics corruption while running cores at 860 on 3Dmark 2001 test 1. These cards seem to do better with the Asus Top bios, though IDK why.
Flashed my Sapphire 4870 with WinFlash an works great. Thank you for this bios been hopping it would become available :D
Clocks are 845/1050 24/7 for now. Have not pushed further. Fan spinning at 50% for now until i put it in my waterloop.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q...70845-1100.jpg
Flashed my sapphire to today, seems to work nice. Running under water so i should test some new clocks soon ...
Ill give this a try when I get an ATI 4870 in about 2 weeks. Whats the default clock rates Ram/GPU with this bios?
800/1100
Still the best option to OC is custom BIOS flashing with custom fan profiles. That way you get the fan profile you want, and you don't have to deal with CCC, and do everything in the AMD tool. I don't think XOC's fan profile is good, and I don't see any need for it if it can't adjust voltages at all.
I'm at 840/1040 on stock cooler, and it's stable.
I flashed my saphire and my visontek 4870's today CCC shows two different default memory values 990 for the saphire ,but 1100 for the Visiontek. The cards run just fine: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dmv=276067
My visiontek came in today.
So should i do this or the asus top bios?
Can this bios flash also work with the 4870x2 cards with two bios chips on them?
Hmmm I have already had a bad time with ASUS TOP on my Jetway 4870. Will try this one. Lets see if it can come back with slightly lower freq on RAM.
Is there anybody interested in supplying us with the CCC panel modification for the 4870x2's so we have the ability to clock up to 999Mhz and 1200Mhz??
:)
hopefully they will do a 4850 version
Bootsy is it suppoused to say (unsure on vista64) ?
Hmmm, I can get 890/1225 stable for 24/7 :\ But with the standard bios.
Is it possible to edit the 4870 bios to increase core voltage? Just slightly like with the 4850's.
Acording to ATI control Center the best OC for my 4870 is 830 / 1150 but when I test it with ATI tool with by scanning for artifacts it doesnt go any further than 2 seconds before it gets small yellow artifacts. I currently have my card at 820 / 1050. RBEditor wont leave me save the bios at 820 / 1090 where my best oc is after testing with ATI tool.
Is there some other software I can use to test the OC stability?
Thanks for the BIOS I will possibly use this on my Gecube, Can a 4850 run at 800/1100 at stock voltages ?
I will Pencil mod to 1.4v later when I install the WC. What the Max safe Voltage you can use on WC ?
err didnt notice its a 4870 BIOS :|. Thanks you just saved me a card.
Well this is the newest bios from ATI (recived it three hours ago) I sent in a complaint to ati about the card artifacting and the tec just sent me this link, so all you XOC owners try this one.
this a direct copy and past of the email i recived from ati tec center.
"Here is your new bios for HD4870OCX-512MBs at 795MHz-1100MHz and Clock Limitation is 990MHz-1250MHz. Also, this bin has been modified the voltage’s setting as well so it should be fixed on artifacts issue for certain motherboards. I ran a test via 3DMarks 06 for more than 2 hours with the new bin and did not see any artifacts related.
CLICK HERE to download an EXECUTABLE file…
http://74.62.199.69/ATIHD4870512MBOCX795-1100MHz.exe
1) Run "ATIHD4870512MBOCX795-1100MHz.exe” under WinXP/Vista
2) Click on “UNZIP” button to begin
3) Let it run through the flashing progress and wait for a confirmation message then restart your PC and Don’t forget to send us an e-mail for the result. Thanks!"
Well lest go guys and see if this is the golden one!:)
@ IRONBMAN,
Awesome! That was the easiest flash I've ever done. Right from windows (Vista 64) and it flashed it no problem! 990/1250 in CCC!
holy CraptacularOne how much of a volt mod and cooling did you need to hit 900/5000? That's just insane.
Believe it or not it's on the stock cooler, and that was with the ASUS bios.
http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/gnfcf/
Now, I flashed both the cards and they can simply be set in CCC!
So it's on stock volts? What brand?
Earlier on Asus cards were showing good hittings in the 850 area and some on here hit 875/1200 with a sapphire card.
Trying to figure which brand has the best chance of max oc/performance....so far data seems inconclusive.
Ironbman - can you confirm, just for the record, that this is from ATI themselves? I mean NOT from Diamond or any other manufacturer, but DIRECTLY FROM ATI/AMD? If so ->
You still haven't said if those cards are on stock voltage or if they've been moded :) Talking about your two Visiontek HD4870 cards :) Tnx! ;)
BIOS DATE: 08/13/08 13:01
VERSION: 113-BA0701-100
ATOMBIOS VERSION: ATOMBIOSBK-ATI VER011.003.000.001.029254
500/1100/1,276V 2D
795/1100/1,276V 3D
990/1250 is upper OC limit in CCC
fans same as on reference boards/bios, so you still have to adjust it.
If you extract this exe to a folder, you'll get a file that is BIOS itself, and you can open it in RBE 1.13 with no problems.
Tested with my Sapphire, no improvement in max OC whatsoever.
I've also checked the voltage with a DMM and I don't see any difference compared to my stock bios @ 1.263V
@CraptacularOne - no offense, but I do not believe your setup is stable for a second. I'd be surprised if you can play any games for longer periods of time, no scratch that, even 15 minutes, let alone run ATITool artifact free, FurMark, or 3DMark06 TBT.
900/1250, no way, not unless you lucked out to get the two best cards that ever came out of an ATI shop, and I mean EVER.
Anybody can set clocks, it's running them stable that's a challenge.
Proof with ATITool artifact free, FurMark, or 3DMark06 TBT, and other benches and pics or it never happened.:yawn2:
Edit: What's more, the current top score on ORB for Vantage is about 10500 per GPU (21k overall GPU score) with two specially donated ASUS cards, custom BIOS, and LN2 cooling. As I was scoring ~9500 with a single 4870 at 850/1150, you must be scoring at least comparable if not higher than the current top score there is but on stock volts with stock cooling. Sorry, I just don't buy it without major proof.
@CraptacularOne - NICE! :-O I want these :D Actually, I'd rather have your CPU sincethat's what limiting me as it is, but still, nice to hear that they get that high :D
@rest of you, and questions about this BIOS..
I'm home now and I've tested few things.
By flashing this bios you really do get more juice, even if by a small ammount. Earlier under load I've measured 1,307-1,312 V with multimeter (overclocked to 790/1100) and now I get 1,331-1,334 V on 795/1100.. so this is 0,02V more. And no it's not cos of additional 5 MHz, since even 50MHz hardly pushed it for 0,002V :)
Other than this, I've tried if this BIOS allows lowering voltages, but as much as I've tested - nothing happens. I've tried by new Ati tray tools, by RBE low voltage tweak, by entering values manualy in bios - nothing helped.
I did NOT try rising voltage in BIOS, but with ATT it apparently doesn't move. I believe this BIOS has same voltage-changing limitations that the reference one had, only now it's fixed to 1,276V instead of earlier 1,263V. You can try it yourselves, and good luck :)
I'll keep playing with the low-volt BIOS cos I'm mostly limited by the CPU anyway...
What we can expect now, is that someone will compare original BIOS and this one, and maybe will figure out WHICH bits exactly change voltages either to higher or lower values.. I hope RBE will be able to do it in a release or two :)
I hope the above answers most of the questions :D
Dejanh, relax I know we all want proof though.
Also as with most things I don't think vantage scales linearly with 2 gpu's.
[QUOTE=LuxZg;3237122]Ironbman - can you confirm, just for the record, that this is from ATI themselves? I mean NOT from Diamond or any other manufacturer, but DIRECTLY FROM ATI/AMD? If so ->
well i recived many emails from Diamond MM and also Ati tec center about the problems i was having with the card, I finaly recived a link to the new bios fron tech02@diamondmm.com so im not sure if it was actualy from ati sory:( was my mistake saying "from ATI".
The worst part about it is i just RMA'd the cards three days ago:eek:
but still wanted to be sharing this bios with all.
Can any one now confirm that this bios will run ATI tool for one hour or more withougth artifacting please, if it dose maby i can get my cards back from the RMA dept:rofl:
Yes, yes, I am not trying to overreact. Problem is though that I have run into baseless claims so many times that it gets to be annoying. Anybody can talk the talk but only a few can walk the walk.
In terms of Vantage, ignore it. I actually wanted to see his scores in Vantage for the claimed setup because I find it hard to believe that two air cooled cards can be as good as top two custom 4870s donated by ASUS with a custom BIOS. I figured Vantage ORB would be a good place to find something that would be comparable to what he is running as I have never so far heard of anyone with such good 4870s. Anyways, I doubt these can even complete a single run.
Thanks for the new bios mate, it is excellent. Managed to raise my gpu speed to 850 so far tested stable which has given me a 900 points boost in vantage. Will post final results once finished testing. Cheers
@ dejanh
Hardly "baseless". What would I have to gain by making it up? Nothing, that's what. If you don't believe me, I honestly don't care. I didn't post them for your "approval". So you know where you can stick your comments right? :slapass: Forum trolls like you wouldn't believe a screen shot anyway. You'd just claim I altered it, or some BS. I've learned from my years on forums to just ignore the trolls like you.
And 9.5K? Is all you could do with a single card? Pff, please don't make me laugh
I passed 10k in Vantage with a single card a while ago... yes on the stock cooler, with stock volts. And this was way before this bios.....
This is with my previous CPU a Q9550 at only 3.85Ghz and a SINGLE HD4870
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dmv=224433
And this is with the current bios and stock cooling using a DUAL CORE that's only clocked to 4.3Ghz (my 24/7 speed) and a SINGLE HD4870
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dmv=321512
Sorry to say it CraptaculrOne but I think he wants a screenshot running furmark or atitool . As far as the orb goes that doesn't show much simply because of the fact it doesn't show the gpu clocks...it always shows 18 and 9 for some odd reason.
I don't care what he wants. I didn't post anything for his approval. He said the max he benched in Vantage was 9.5k with his card at 850 core. I just posted 2 benchmarks that smash his "best" score rather easily. 10k with a very low clocked quad, and 9.8k with only a moderately clocked dual core.
The BIOS works and I have been gaming on it for hours and hours (HL2, Crysis). No problems. Stable. No need to re-install drivers either. Flash and Play.
Visiontek HD4870, stock cooler. e8600 @ 4.3ghz.
Catalyst 8.8, Futuremark Vantage
Diamond XOC bios 795/1100: P8762 GPU 8783 CPU 8701 1st 2 tests FPS 24.87/26.62 Idle 78c Load 85c
Asustek Top bios 815/925 : P8775 GPU 8838 CPU 8593 1st 2 tests FPS 25.09/26.72 Idle 54c Load 65c
Asus Top autotune: 865/1090
Diamond XOC autotune: 835/1150
Impression: At least on my Visiontek card (stock cooler) the Diamond XOC bios would pass Vantage BUT did not entirely seem stable as would rarely artifact but annoyingly would stutter and jump frames.
On the otherhand, the Asustek Top bios was very smooth and stable. Additionally idle and load temps were much better. Seems to be the better bios with stock cooling.
Additionally from Catalyst 8.7 to 8.8 on the Asus Top bios Vantage scores went from P8357 (24/25) to P8775 (25/26) =)
Lol at the scores...let me make something very clear to you, and read carefully...
I was scoring 9.5k in GPU score alone not overall score at 850/1150 with a single 4870 and CPU bottleneck. Coincidentally this is higher than what you linked to in your first "quick run" and definite proof that you are not running at the claimed speeds. Anyways, here is the link below...
http://service.futuremark.com/home.a...&resultType=19
What do you even gain by making a fool of yourself?
Now, let me explain why I cannot score higher overall otherwise I'd smoke you there too...
At 3.6GHz Core 2 you have removed any bottleneck to a single HD 4870. This has been shown time and time again, but as you seemingly do not read any 4870 OC threads you would not know this, or so it appears. So your "weak" 4.3GHz OC is more than enough to let the card breathe fully. Now, I have an Athlon X2, lol, what do you expect I'm gonna score when my CPU barely runs at 3GHz and gets measly 595/8 in the two CPU tests respectively with the fact that I'm running the 4870 on an ancient SLI board (nForce 570).
Clear? It should be.
I could care less how you see me. Your clock claims are baseless and anybody reading them would be a fool to assume any 4870 would come even close. That's what annoys me about people that make such claims. There is not one 4870 overclocker that achieved stable results like you are claiming with any 4870, let alone a reference design on a reference cooler. As far as I am concerned you've answered my questions already. Those 900/1250 clocks you are claiming are not stable, never were, and never will be. Anyone can tune their CCC OverDrive to the max ;)
As long as everyone reading these forums is clear on that I'm satisfied :)
Thanks :)
Thanks for the bios IRONBMAN flashed my visontek and my sapphire 4870's best stable clocks so far me @ 850/1165 on stock cooling with my quad running at 4200mhz.
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dmv=325413
You are quite the misinformed troll aren't you? The 10k score was with the either 8.5 beta or 8.6 beta (forgot which) and there was obvious performance gains made since they were released. The 8.6 official, and the 8.7 beta, and now the 8.8 official have made great strides in the performance of the card in Vantage.
The score reflected in my 9.8k run are a obvious sign of this. Way to fail at understanding what you claim to know so well. Your 9.5k GPU score was still smashed by my 9.8k run using the current drivers.
No stop spamming your garbage and get a clue at life before you open your mouth.
Spin it off whichever way you want my friend, facts are facts and you got NOTHING to back up your claims. Like I said before, FurMark and ATITool or it never happened. And you definitely did not make those scores with 8.5 or 8.6 betas...check your version strings...me 9.5k score 8.520.2.0, you on the 9k score 8.520.0.0, on the 9.8k score 8.522.0.0
Edit: The last run too is August 21, so that's with 8.8 official which matches your version string. < 300pts more for you with your setup compared to mine, really, get a clue...
Way to beat yourself down in your own defensive argument
Anyway, I made my point before. No point in spreading lies.
No kidding the last run is Aug 21. Apparently you are brain dead and caoont understand written text. I was pointing out to you the increase in score from the driver revision. It's a GPU test captain troll. 300 points better is quite a difference and is well within reason for a 50Mhz speed in increase. What were you expecting from only 50Mhz? 1,000 points? All you are doing is accentuating your own ignorance with every reply.
300 is a very small difference. More than likely it is ONLY due to your CPU being significantly better and not bottlenecking your card, unlike mine, and maybe, just maybe a bit to do with the newer driver revision. Newer driver, 50MHz more on the core, combined with apparent 100MHz more base memory clock, combined with a massively better platform and CPU should definitely account for more than 300pts.
This is my last plea to you, FurMark and ATITool or it never happened. Why is it so difficult to do that? If anything, you'd make me eat my own words and prove to EVERYONE that 900/1250 can be done.
I am begging you to prove me wrong in fact. I want to see that 900/1250 can be done and can be done solid. There is not ONE person that managed this so far, especially on stock everything.
300 points is not a "very small" difference in a benchmark. It's actualy quite the gain. And Vantage is not nearly as CPU bound as the previous benchmarks were as evidenced by your being able to get 9.5k on the GPU score on your AMD X2.
I really can't stand, ignorant forum trolls.
http://img382.imageshack.us/img382/2713/4870ls3.th.jpg
Wait, let me guess: I'm just faking that screen shot too? Get a clue junior. Just because YOU can't do it or your cards aren't capable of it, doesn't mean nobodies cards can.
Jeez was that so difficult? Finally, something. It's looking like you really got some kick ass cards. Congrats
...now for the benefit of the rest of us can you please post some screens of longer ATITool runs showing no artifacts and maybe get FurMark running at 1280x1024 at least? Also, if you do not mind grabing Everest or GPU-Z 0.2.7 and showing the current draw of your GPU with your VRM temps.
I think a lot of us would appreciate it :)
Thanks!
It's for everyone that wants to overclock there 4870's and wanna see the good results available. I think he was just overly aprehensive because like he said not many people have been able to get that high.
snippe had to v mod to get to 895.
Your welcome CraptacullarOne, now as I asked earlier as so I can help the engineer from ati that wrote me the bios (for the diammond XOC be) can you post for me ATItool running for at least one hour artifact free pleeeezzzz:)Quote:

hello guys
I'm from germany.
I have a question. I want to buy one of this two cards:
this one -> http://geizhals.eu/a359394.html
or this one -> http://geizhals.eu/a358411.html
which one should I buy? I want on of this graphic cards because they have another cooler and I'm sure that coolers are better in my opinion when I compare them with the normal coolers.
So my question: which one should I buy and I want to flash the card with a other BIOS.
Should I take the BIOS from the ASUS TOP oder from IRONBMAN?
best regards
Simple, get the Club3D card. The PowerColor 4870 PCS+ has problems (see here for details http://en.expreview.com/2008/08/23/p...-issues-check/)
@screenshots and everything regarding this new bios. Could I add one more request to those posting screenshots? Could you PLEASE post screenshot of GPU-Z "sensors" tab as well, under load ofcourse.. So perhaps when having atitool artifact free for 1 hour, open one GPUZ with first tab, and one with sensors, so we can see all GPU/VRM temperatures and current amps.. Thanks! :)
Btw, I did try this BIOS, and it really ups the voltages. But since I'm CPU limited I've just given it a try, measured real volts to confirm it wa indeed raised, and that's it. Multimeter showed around +0,02V under load vs stock reference BIOS (so not stock XOC, but reference one..though they probably have same volts :) )
Never mind, it's still from official source.. Though it would be nicer if it was from ATi themselves :D ;)
@ dejanh the item that steve is talking about come out of guelph ont, his name is andrew and he is a genious:D hear is a link to the card in question
http://www.extreme-pc.ca/showproduct...oductid=372404
i hope i did not brake eny rules posting this link.
I have three of his cards and thay all are rock soild:up:
This BIOS in no way helps my memory overclock, 1100 its unstable, currently testing at 900/850 and it seems its helped the core quite abit, the memory Is stable around 975 I think.
Here we go gents (and maybe some ladies)...time to stir up some s*** :)
I've been posting for weeks now how it looks like there are major issues with 4870 VRM cooling and/or the overall power design...some listened, some did not...
Finally, here is some official confirmation of VRM issues...sadly ATI just "glazes" over this by hacking the driver and not fixing a problem...
http://en.expreview.com/2008/08/26/a...it-run-slower/
Now again, I will care to reiterate over all of the threads that I have been posting in related to this...
This thread is a pretty good collection of all the places I have posted about this already (see first post)... http://forums.tweaktown.com/f31/diam...edition-27348/
Let's hear some opinions!
So basically the 4870 is ATi's version of the 7900GT from NV?
I got the modded bios on, and with Accelero S1 in furmark I dont hit 100 degrees now so I think the VRM's are safe now.
They are talking about poor cooling, which is true. I've upped my fan speed to 75% (which drowns out my annoying roommate). I don't see any proof of the actual VRM design being faulty. Cooling issues are easily fixed, crap electrical design engineering is a lot harder to fix.
I wouldn't call it a major issue or a design flaw. At stock, the HD4870 can run any game without crashing or dying (at least the ATI reference design, OC version are another story).
Furmark is just too demanding. It's like runing your car into first gear, pedal to the metal for 10 km and when the engine blows up saying "See, I told you, this car cooling is faulty"
That being said, I don't really like the fact that ATI quietly "fixes" furmark issue with a kind of cheat, but if it stops people from burning their card, it's not that bad. Anyways, I don't play furmark so I couldn't care less ...
I've heared that original Diamond download for that XOC bios is gone so here is reupload on rapidshare.
If it gets deleted, just PM me and I'll upload again..

ZIP contains untouched exe from their servers, and I've just added txt file in ZIP, which contains this thread URL, and copies of original post, my post asking if it was ATI or Diamond source, and IRONBMAN's reply confirming it's from Diamond Multimedia..
Is the same BIOS as Ironman uploaded? I'm running that one.
Yes, this is same one, just reuploaded because obviously DiamondMM didn't like everyone downloading it, so they've pulled the file :) If you click on link in Ironbman's post you'll just get 404 error ;)
Wow, I just flashed mine w/ that BIOS...825/1100 just played 60 minutes in Crysis without a hiccup. With my stock BIOS, 1025 was the max mem setting. I'm not saying this 1100MHz setting is stable as the only test I've done is an hour of Crysis, but I'm impressed. I couldn't do 30 minutes before the flash at 1100MHz. 825MHz was my previous core clock max w/ the stock BIOS also -- once I find max stable mem I will test max core clock.
Put the new BIOS XOC, 795/1100Mhz tested, but the ATITOOL accuses artifacts.
If I put more tension by RBE advance something?
Let speeds card in 795/4400Mhz (Stable) has a problem?
It can reduce the useful life of GDDR5?
Cold cards.
???????????????
ATT probably does not work well with the new cards. Try Furmark, but rename the .exe to something else if you are using Cat 8.8.
Nobody knows if it will reduce the life of the GDDR5 or not. These cards have not been out for long enough.
Wow, you actually understood his first question? I tried, but got nothing :p
In terms of reducing the life of GDDR5, running it at higher frequency but not changing the supply voltage should be safe. If however you are overvolting the memory and running it at higher frequencies then you are reducing the life span.
Well, I finished working w/ my card today -- 3 hours of Crysis, no problems. Can't get any additional core speed but was able to take the mem from 1025 to 1100 with this BIOS. Or atleast no lockups so far at 825/1100. I haven't tried pushing it beyond 1100 and probably won't. I feel pretty lucky having gone from 1025 to 1100 just from a flash.
I can run my sapphire 4870 with this bios up to 895/1150 in 3dmark01 atleast. Over 895 on core is not stable at all. Without vmods ofc
I tested this BIOS against my original VisionTek BIOS with my DMM and it gives the same load (~1.265V), so I'm not getting the voltage boost from it. I also tried some different higher voltages in RBE and it didn't seem to affect it either. There doesn't seem to be a way to increase voltages beyond hard mods. Undervolting is great though, I run 2D at 1.083V very well :).
Mr K6 - you've used NEW XOC BIOS? How the hell did I than measure +0,02V under load on my Club3D card (reference design)
Also, have you tested under load? Because I get over 1,3V under load with overclocked card (like 800/1100 in this BIOS) even with stock BIOS, and with XOC It's smthing like 1.33V. Load was made by benching Crysis on 1680x1050 High/very high, and measuring on VDDC measure spot shown in 4870 voltmod thread..
Good question, but I have no idea. I'm using the same area (highlighted in blue/purple in the thread). Generally I get in the 1.265V range with any BIOS (also tested ASUS TOP BIOS for the hell of it). Overclocking changes the voltage by about 0.001-0.003V at most, nothing much. Also, I never got increased overclocking capability from the XOC BIOS (I used the one you reposted a bit earlier).
Weird, really weird. I'm home now, and can copy my measurements exactly:
in 2d 500/1100 - 1,302V; in 3D 795/1100 - 1,331V-1,334V (jumping around as bench moves around)
For default BIOS, I had these:
in 2d 500/900 - 1,283V; in 3D 750/900 - 1,305V-1,308V
OCed in 3D 790/1100 - 1,307V-1,312V (so matches yours 0,001-0,003V difference from overclocking)
Now, it means I had up to 1,312V with stock bios when overclocked, and on almost same clocks (just 5MHz GPU, that shouldn't change a thing) I get up to 1,334V, so I got +0,022V from this BIOS. Also, my Catalyst showed unlocked Overdrive with this bios, and increased clocks as well.
Have you changed or modified this BIOS in any way before flashing? And are you sure it was actually FLASHED to your card? Perhaps it exited flash operation if you did not use FORCE option for flashing, because of different card IDs? You know you have to run ATiWinFlash in command prompt to FORCE flash any BIOS?
You would be certain if you would flash it by their own flash app by just running exe, not extracting and flashing manualy..
EDIT: If you DID flash correctly, than you can "download" your new bios by GPU-Z, and open it in RBE. If you don't see any changes in BIOS time/date/version and/or clocks, than you haven't flashed at all.. and that would be only explanation at this moment (to me at least :) )
Same here.
I did the flash from command line, but I've gained nothing with this BIOS (I had to edit it before to 795/1000, 1100Mhz is too much for my memory, it seems). Asus TOP and Diamond XOC BIOS both run Crysis @ 860/1010 (Autotune), but ATiTool gets corrupted with anything above 810Mhz Core.
I don't have a DMM at hand, but RivaTuner and GPUz both read "1.26V" in 2D and 3D. I don't know if I should trust those readings, can you post a pic of Rivatuner Hardware Monitoring while runing 3D?
I will flash the XOC BIOS as is, maybe something goes wrong when I underclock the memory.
Sorry for my English...
