cant wait for those tests
Waiting for the tests AY... (i really got to cut down on these damn pop corns!)
test please...
interesting... looking forward to your results.
+1 for your results please.
CANNOT WAIT...hehe
Take your time, I'd love to see it does 4Ghz Orthos stable on air :D
sweet. :D i'll be waiting for results too.
nice Andre
I am curious to see

subscribed! Right now I'm between e6850 and q6600...
Will determine which to choose for me (rubs hands) and taps feet and waits!
Waiting patiently for results ;)
And me :D
The fate of the Dual vs Quad core could be in your hands...Are you sure you are up to the task :) .
I'd also love to see the results. Like many others, I am debating E6750/E6850/Q6600 G0 for my next CPU. 3.2GHZ is all I can squeeze out of this E2160 :)
Really looking forward to these.
is this G0?
All the 1333mhz FSB processors from Intel are G0 stepping and even some 1066mhz FSB will get it later this year

Subscribed and waiting...
Andre... you gonna test on air right? (1st at least anyways)
these will do 4ghz ORTHOS stable on air with the right cooler and ambients... ;)
OMG! need to know how this chip does!!

Seems my sig is now pointless with both AMD and Intel at 3ghz on stock clocks :D
Ok now, enuf suspense already...

Patience young padawan. ;)

Very nice, so it's capable of 4Ghz on air.
This will be my next chip in a month :D
Would 1.57vcore be okay 24/7?

4Ghz Orthos Stable Yummy
OMG!!
Waiting for more, Victor!
Rbs.
Hum Orthos seems to have a bug it detects 4500Mhz:p amazing results
damn ! 4ghz prime stable :yepp:
could you monitor the temp with Coretemp ? Just wanna compare with Asus utility...
G0 is very very nice.. :D
waaaaa..... its the time for 4GHZ prime stability.. very nice intel chips.. :D
that could be a 77C in Core temps?
Any idea if other revisions besides the G0 will clock similar? I ask because I don't know if there is anything besides G0. Don't want to get stuck ordering and get some sucky revision.
Orthos does not check if the multiplier was lowered, it assumes it remains unchanged and only looks at the FSB, hence the difference.
G0 IS the newest revision, and the only one that's been clocking to 4GHz on air without suicidal voltages.
H'mm nice but I'm not that impressed with the temps & voltage needed to achieve it i.e. 1.57v & 69c. . . any chance of using TAT?
Asus Probe reads 68~69 degrees so that would be at least 75c + at the core.
It's considering on the hotter side even for quad cores. But keep in mind that ambient temp is also a very important role here considering he's testing 4Ghz on air with a Tuniq Tower 120. I'm preety certain that his location is in Taiwan by looking at his language version os XP in Tranditional Chinese so ambient temp over there is at least 30+ degrees 24/7. Even in western Canada here, the temp during the day gets up to 29 degrees and 22 degrees by midnight. My Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme is having a hard timing keeping my E6700 at ~3760mhz and my Orthos isn't 8+ hours stables now for some reasons...
I also presume that both of his Tuniq Tower 120 and the E6850 IHS aren't lapped so thus higher temps than what you'll see from some lapped results.
ok so its stable for 11 minutes of orthos run.. Umm hoping your testing this for at least a full day.
regardless. I want this over a quad :D
stating the obvious.. this is one kick ass chip.. omg
Low voltage 4G no problem

Very nice, keep it coming. Subscribed!!
G0 is last chance for Dual cores ... and great!
I want to see G0 Quads ...
Subscribed too. Victor...CoreTemp please :)
Rbs.
My ES 6850 is 4GHz Orthos stable for 8 hours with no problems ...
It is great to see, retail cpus are the same ...
Im impressed! Got me thinking:eek2:
much better voltage :)
as for g0 quads, they do exist, obr, although current results are es
m3kk, i've personally found large to be more suited. i've had overclock pass 27 hours small fft but have random reboots with large/blend. sure, it throws ram/chipset into the mix a bit more
I thought that large would fit in conroe's 4mb L2 and thus it has become the standard, or something like this? :yepp:
1 hour orthos, 4ghz @1,48 is really nice, but wanna see 8hours+
what are the ambient temps?
still thanks for the results thus far, g0 should rock
G0 retail looks lovely
I can not wait to get this chip into my loop.
as of right now mostly B3 steppings are sold in north america.
july 22nd has been promised buy a few retailers thtat they will be g0 stepping.
A quad-core will look awesome on my sistem:D
My ~ 8 hours Orthos stable! @1.49V

Price E6850 in my retail shop is 199EUR! (280USD) On stock in monday!
Ooii ..... ! Coretemp screen shot please, it is the VID that we're looking for ! Not the temp.
hehehe... guys its ok to post whole screenies.. :)
OBR which shop?
small fft's andre please, thanks. 4ghz small fft stable would be amazing on air with low voltage.
may be a noob question but is this chip worth the $100 over the 6750? And is the only way to get guaranteed GO stepping to wait to after 22/7???
I think that my e6600 will get tossed aside for this.......pondering 4 or 2 hrmmmmmm
No O.C results as of yet ?
Have you read the thread?
Yea I have but thats not Overclocked!
What is this?
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...6&postcount=26
Time to drop my L709A e6600 already
he did the same with 1.49
people dont read eh
still waiting for coretemp monitoring during prime95 :D :p:
edit : Large FTTs priority 9 ! :)
4GHz at 1.49V ... and my chip is ES, but retail will be here in two days ...
Chips are at stock in Germany, Czech republic, i think everywhere in Europe ...
Price for E6550, E6750 is great too! Very low ...
q6600 already 300€ w00t :D
6850 around 240€
6750 around 180€
6550 around 170€
altho difference in price between 6550 and 6750 is too small.
But the higher multi in the E6X5X family is 9 right??
Great results:toast:..
something to really be enthusiastic about for a change,it exists...:D
Hopefully will replace my crappy e6600 with one of these :)
Please test the max. FSB of this CPU! :)
Nice results so far!
hopefully see somemore retail results soon...
350aud now for e6850.
yay! soon enough it'll be in america
As of right now, I'm leaning for the E6850 over the Q6600...I don't think I'm alone ^_^
im also purchasing E6850 over the Quad.
Can someone tell me where to buy in germany, and availibility???
I have ordered mine from comtech.de. They claim since saturday morning to have it in stock, but didnt ship it yet. Sure there was the weekend, but i hope they change the status into shipping today. jes-computer.de has it listed as in stock too. But who knows if they both really have it... Might worth to wait another day or two, and then order at a better known retailer. Prices are pretty much the same everywhere, 260-280 Euro, boxed. Will edit here when mine shipped.
my is going to me from Germany now ...
OBR ... where did u order?
These are showing up in europe two weeks before they will in the US?
I believe they've released in a few places in Europe and Australia (judging by the residency of the people who have bought one).
Here in Portugal one store is gonna have them tomorrow:D
When are these expected to be released?
July 22nd, the same date as the Quad Core price cut?
rgr that
