In this 16M run i've forgotten to set real time priority :slap:
At this point we have encountered some stability problem with the mainboard that stopped us,so we decided to retry next time doing more and better,especially 32M where we have a good margin...bye ;)

Im surprised you guys havent broken 9 sec yet. You guys have a decent amount of clock speed on OPB and just slightly less RAM speed. Tighten up those timings and maybe youll break it.

At 1M especially in 9s on 975 works only the L2 cache of the cpu,we tryied (obviously :) ) with the lower timings possible but nothing changes,in fact between x12 vs x13 there is no difference...

Then what else do you guys plan on doing to try and break 9s? Have you messed around with the subtimings? Cause thats what I was mostly referring to, along with your TRAS. Try and match OPBs exact timings and see what you can get.

Very nice scores and freq :D Did you try the Windows XP style instead of Windows Classic? I think that might bring you under 9s, it does help a little with my E6400 in 2D.

mmm...maybe we can get the 2M...1M is impossible at 5600mhz...but we can get easy the 8M at 5800mhz because at 5540mhz we are around 1'59"0xx...;)

The "easiest" way to break the magic 9 IMHO is to go for 400x14 2:3 on i965. Performance from before and Vince and some others has just been stellar at 400MHz 2:3, definitely surpassing i975 with high FSB 1:1 3-3-3.

I see you've tested 2:3, is that the 1066 strap or 1333?

Are 5.4GHz benchable on this P5B of yours? Anyway, of course that won't be enough... :) Just curious.

So, with i975 you may wish to try at least Win XP theme + green olive or silver scheme under Win 2k3... I think it can help you breaking 9s.

@Gautam,1066 strap...but the problems with the P5B DLX are two:
1) max multi x13
2) can't go over 5460mhz because the power section isn't so strong like P5W64 is.
1M at 5450mhz,freeze at 5466mhz...:(...so not enough

We've tried a commando but vcore problems stopped us...we are looking around but P5W64 for superpi seems to be still the best...

Little tip I picked up from OPB: make a .BAT file of all your reg tweaks so you can add them to your reg everytime you start benching again. Your regestry should be a lot cleaner.

With P5W64 you can do it from bios,with P5B DLX at the start of the installation.
