Since it's such a hot topic lately, thought I'd run some 975x + 7900gtX SL| for kicks. Scores are pretty devastating. I believe these are all WR's (03,05, and 06 unofficially of course) Sham I know I promised I wouldnt, but I couldnt help myself especially when I saw you playin with your shiny new red toy ;).

That is some serious gtX ownage.
Cpu can 3d at a little over 5100 now and cards aren't at absolute max.
Very special thanx to Big Sam for the modded drivers, to make benching on this "officially un-licensed" setup possible.

About -120c/1.7-1.75v or so, temps don't get critical until 5200mhz.
The 05' could bust 28k+ I think easy where the cpu maxes out in 3d. Gonna need all that and much more when Hipro starts goin :D... x1950 dont count until I get some G80's George. ;)

in 2001 it's propablly 4/5 mem div (so mem goes 525 4-3-x-x I supose)
In my system E6600 + sli 2x 7600 GS it is better 510 4-4-4 mem than 410 3-3-3

I think Vince was running 1:1 3,3,3 in both situations. That's why I ask...

why do never see this high of scores on our 3d mark database

like the highest 06 is 14 on there??

Your right Orlando, I was. Ram can do about 460-470mhz 3-3-3-5, so I can pretty much scale the cpu up to current max ghz without bumping multi.
Still holding back the firepower a little, till I really need it. Using 11x with higher fsb instead of 12x is almost always faster in 3d, although Drags seem to respond better with the reverse of that when my cards are full tilt.
Still saving that last little bit for a solid NFORCE 590 platform. With a solid mobo, it could be great based on what I have seen so far. I think maybe in the next week or two, I might get a much anticipated NF590 to test.

Graphics cards were clocked from 1031-1067/1058-1093 depending on bench being run. Can't seem to push them as hard in 03' anymore.
Yes you definitely need an SLI bridge for it to work.

I knew you would be talking like that once you saw these #'s. Honestly, I dont even care that the setup isn't official anymore. It benches so damn good with the 7900gtx's. Never tried the bad-axe, but it looks to be the same or maybe slightly better.
Just install the 85.96 drivers, and get your cascades or your pouring hand(s) warmed up :). I think a 17-17.5k 06 score is there for the taking with everything running perfectly.

@pipi: Depending on what version of crystal/cpuz you use, the reading of the cpu codes/clocks/volts are all over the place. I think I am used 1.35cpuz and 1.48cpuid on this round.

Not even close to stable for windows operation, but just long enough to boot and save lol. Kinda cheesy, but good enough for validation. :wasntme:

Sp1m/pifast stable over 5200mhz. Quick 1m on xp 3d bench rig in between 3d runs, SLI enabled, just straight clocks, no pi optimastions at all, etc. I would think that with some OS tweaks alone,pci card, and stripped down 2k3 OS maybe the time get down to 9.6-9.7 or lower at a little over 5200mhz cpu speed. Also with 3-3-3-5-all other def timings:

I think 90k will drop with around 5180-5200mhz on the cpu + my present card clocks/tweaking. The 05' will be nasty with over 5100mhz...

You need the SLI bridge. 2 cards are definitely faster in 01 than one.

May I ask how you managed to clock your 7900 GTX's over 1000MHz GPU clock? Did you modify the BIOS of the cards?

I volt-modded some of those cards myself, however all of them can only be clocked to something around 850MHz (cooled with dice).

do you use ln² ?

kingpin never uses dice afaik, he's tubes are made for liquid nitro :)

5ghz+ stable across the board now, even in 2003 :D . One damn bump on the cards or cpu should get 17k. Gonna have to claw my way to 17k+ with cpu power, as I was lucky just to make it trough these runs with the gtx's. Had just enough nitrogen to run every bench twice lol:
