For reference, this is how we have been approaching this point.
It is now clear that 5GHZ+ and SINGLE DIGIT SuperPi_1M will happen!
jeeeze!!
impressive
damn. gonna be breakin the 5ghz mark and gonna hit 9 sec pi run all at once soon.
oh yes....:banana::banana::banana:s about to hit the fan
good god.
xs was down for me the whole day, it is 1hour after midnight and I'm soo f*cking glad I waited until XS is up again - THIS IS INSANE!!!!
TAM YOU ARE AWESOME!!!
You really missed to get the 5 GHZ shot???? I wouldn't believe if you did :D
will 9.99s, just so close:toast:
Crazy clocks, can't wait for 5G. :slobber:
bleh,i would call a 4997.5Mhz 5Ghz
amazing clocks :O
I have to agree.Quote:

holy.....crap......
*goes and sells his AMD system, and starts a conroe system :slobber: *

Impressive I guess no cold bug for conroe.
Thinking a 6700 and a small 1/2hp auto cascade will be in order this fall :D
Lol, I believe 5GHz P4 was at least after P4 release, not a month and a half before! :toast:Quote:

I believe this is really just the beginning of what we will see in 2006. Truly an exciting time for computer enthusiasts.
Cheers! :toast:
wow....taking the piss...like...2.2mhz away from 5ghz bah:P:toast:
Seriously impressive! :D
iterations, that's a great reference chart.
Yup for B0 rev. it is looking like 3.8GHz on air, 4.2GHz on water or DICE, 5GHz+ on LN or exotics.Quote:

Think DICE should get quite a bit higher than water.. -78C vs ambientQuote:

Congrats on a milestone
a vcore moded 975xbx , that's good.
5ghz conroe........ can hardly imagine it's 3D performance :D
Unreal, Leaves me wondering how woodcrest will perform. Although i'm most likely bypassing conroe and coming back to it for personal use.. I must say DAMN!!
Seriously amazing time there, and think when conroe goes mainstream they can only get quicker.
Almost exactly the same as Conroe @ 1333 FSB. Why wonder when you can look - http://www.tecchannel.de/specials/english/439566/Quote:

good ram and cpu
It takes my P4 2.53ghz @ 2.7xGhz 67 seconds.Quote:

I was thinking about the P4 comparison as well, first time P4s were overclocked they were barely breaking 3 Ghz, and then 4+ Ghz fell later on exotic cooling. Conroe isn't even released yet and we've seen 5 Ghz lol. With future revisions they should scale past the 7 Ghz we saw for the P4 WRs.
The first P4s were .18nmQuote:

when they scale like that way, we should see a 10 Ghz in the fewture.
but maby the isn't much to improve :)
congrats on this one :toast:
Congrats! 5 Ghz and 10,312s... Impressive! Conroe rulez! :slobber:
every day seeing something new with a conroe, now, I am just speechless... theres just nothing left to say, that I havent said 10 times before...
but I will say it once again.
these things are just amazing.
It is getting closer.
And using Windows x64 would probably give a even better result, or is that cheating :D
TAM you are THE man !!! :D :D Go for 9.XXs !
simply amazing , sheers Tam :toast:
MY word, everyday when i come here to see whats new, its another World record run. This is getting totally crazy!!
WD TAM!!! great effort!
Obi
:eek2:
omfg.
time to start doing dual super pi 1m challenges i think heh
Djiizaloo! And I who thought that AMD would keep it's throne. If I ever build a computer again, it will definately contain an Intel Conroe processor. May we also see some 3D-scores with that monster?
new architecture from AMD will give similar results, but meanwhile conroe rulez :slobber:
god...near to 9s...:S
Yeah, maybe, but so far, AM2 hasn't proved anything...Quote:

Impressive clocks. Nonetheless, @~5GHz you should have scored around 9'.xx. Try a little more tweaking ;)
           respect!!
Congratz... That's made me dreaming ;)
Lol, I love how it got up to 4997mHz, but just couldn't make it to 5000. I did a little math and you will need slightly over 5.15 gHz to break into the 9s range.
My 2.53 P4 gets 59.8s at stock. I don't get why you are so much slower, single channel DDR maybe? TAM is almost 6x as fast as I am and not quite double the clocks, so Conroe is 3x as fast clock for clock compared to my P4.Quote:

What u expect from a socket? performance difference between AM2 and S939 is 2-5% and this is not bad.Quote:

Im happy to see impressive results from Conroe. These results are giving hope that next CPU from AMD will be even faster and we will be able to choose.
This is from another planet, no other explanation lol
This has to be one of the most impressive cpu architectural advances I've ever witnessed.....and I've been at this a long long time. Intel's new design is simply incredible.
That math is about pure clock power. To score lower one needs some software tweaks, I can't stress that enough. It makes my stomach curl to see such power unharnessed :rolleyes:Quote:

OMG this is incredible :slobber:
Please run some 3dmark!
It's team japan we're talking about, I think they now better than anyone to tweak the software to get low superpi numbers.Quote:

Mother of God!!
insane clocks and resultz
Incredible!
You can be the first to broke the 10"!?:toast:
sure friend he will:D
congratulations tam;)
Its likely the background junk I had (and have) running. I haven't tried to run it for max speed since there's really no point. My ram is dual channel (2 Sticks 512 Corsair XMS3200C2-3-3-6)... Either way, Conroes are sick fast and I want one (I doubt I'm the only one :))Quote:

I want to see some 3D scores with that high of clock speeds...
I can see some record numbers fallen quickly and followed right after by the fall of those record breaking numbers....
I'm one of the *I think it's badass* but I won't really be satisfied until I have it within my grasp kind of people. From the looks of it though i'll be going for woodcrest all the way:toast:Quote:

You're joking right? TeamJapan knows every "software" tweak under the sun plus some. :rolleyes:Quote:

It's GREAT to see TAM still at the top of the game... he's one of the legendary CLASSICS!
:toast:
the japanese win again
70k @ 3d01 or 9,xx @ spi ?
:)
Damn I am so angry that TAM's board died - everybody waits for the 5GHZ shot now and the 70k '01 and and and 9sssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
This kills me personally - I wanna see it, I truely wanna see that this is possible on a conroe...anybody gives this guy a board ASAP ! :D
Seriously guys, are you stupid???
69524 with 3874 MHz by FreeCableGuy... Not even sure his score is LOD tweaked...
And you think 70K is about right for 5ghz... THINK BOYS THINK... Its way past 75K, it would be close to 80K !!!
Just what I was going to say. Imagine this chip with the k|ngp|n cards :slobber: :slobber: :slobber: :slobber: 5ghz Conroe + 2x7900GTX 1000/1000 or X1900XTX   Anyone brave enough to say 90k? :woot:

I'm waiting for 100k in 3dmark 01 ;)
P4 was introduced at 180nm.Quote:

At last Intel makes a decent chip worthy of my attention.
that might be because ram isnt improoving at the same pace.Quote:

well I don't care if you're right with 75-80k or if I'm right with my 70k - just wanna see these 5GHZ on a bench-run...congratz if you're right with 75k, but I won't be disappointed if his cards are not that well clocked cuz he likes pi that much to run 3d benches just by the way...would be insane to see screenies anyway asap ;)Quote:

Fred-san, did TAM test his X6800 on air first. If so, did he say what kind of temperatures was he getting under load?
Wonder what AM3 score would be with crossfire & 5GHz Conroe? towards 220k maybe, lol
Thanks David-san:toast:Quote:

I know 3D is not Japan's "thing" but is there any chance you could convince TAM to run a little 3D01 :)?
Fred, can you please ask TAM if he plans followin' conroe close like he did with s478 CPU's in the old days, same goes for OMEGA, If this is 2nd episode of the Japanies CPU-Z (WCPUID) era :fact:Quote:

as you seem to be looking around here right now, mind asking you the following? - is a new board coming for TAM in a short time??? He really has to get a new one to continue his great benching :)Quote:

If this were a movie, it would be really dramatic for a condenser to blow at 4,997.9Mhz :D
lol..we know 2k1 is CPU bottlenecked..so...how powerful does the CPU have to get until the Graphics cards are the bottle necks :p:
How much more will it need for 9.XXX secs ??? About 100-150 Mhz ??
great work Tam
drools.................
cannot wait it i get my conroe
well not sure it even needs this...give TAM half an hour for tweaking this config and he'll improve the last 0.3s just with 50MHZ and knowledge ;)Quote:
