    Re POE oil & R507.
I was looking for more than that article actually. As far as rotary Valve seats I don't know. But in Herms & Simi herms The valve seats arent harded, Sort of like when cars went from Leaded gas to unleaded gas. running unleaded in a engine with out hardened seats they run normal for a while but wears the seats and valve face. Hence the oil being carried by the refrigerant. replaces the hardened seat and provides a cushion so to speak( like the lead in leaded fuel did in a automobile engine). Mixing the charge may help to a degree. Like lead additives did for auto engins .
This is just what we have seen with refrigeration compressors in walk in freezers. and chiller systems. Like i said as far as rotaries I dont know. But if seal deterioration occurs it also contaminates the oil in a sealed system . Hindering its ability to lubricate the bearings and seals , valves.
Also POE oils are better suited for lower temps before the velocity is compromised . Just sucks that they absorb moisture at a lot faster rate. Therefore a leak on the Low side. esspecialy in a phase unit that works in a vacuum sometimes (or all the time) will accumulate moisture faster. and remain in the oil instead of collecting in the drier filter . To a point where if can displace the oil ( in a bad leak Faster than Acid formation can occur.
Ok I am ranting now Sorry.
Hope this helps or makes sense

Hello sdumper - This is rickss69 (Rick). MaadDaawg (Jim) phoned me and said you were thru with his phase unit and that I should get in touch. Are you in a spot where you could build me one like his? Been using chilled water and have gone as far as I can go with it. Benching is all I intend to use this for. I am ahead of Jim in points for the moment, but he is gonna blister me shortly lol. Let me know what info you need.

I am on vacation until the 19th.

Do you want two of them? I can ship them separately cheaper than together because USPS has a special package deal but it has to be small package (weight doesn't matter just dimensions)
