Max I did on my e6600 was 2.4v. Temps 70 above zero under my cheapo phase

Well, yeah the insulation process is boring ( I just do it, don't even think about it anymore ) but the results pay back for that
If the rotary compressors didn't produce that annoying noise, I'd surely go for one for a QX @ 4.9GHz 24/7

p.s. 2.31V @ X6800 and didn't die...although it didn't gain a single Hz from 2.04V to 2.31V...but that was a really bad chip ( max 5GHz )

true... skills are needed, not that I'm that skilled or whatever, and I won't ever go phase change... I just hate the time to insulate motherboards or graphic cards, watercooling is just fine for 24/7.
Besides, phase change isn't that efficient imho... I mean 6ghz on a C2D is nice but you ain't never gonna run it like that 24/7 right? Sure it's nice for 3dmark/superpi and all but I'm more of a permanent settings guy
On the other hand, I like to read all you guys accomplishments and all, nice way to see how far hardware can go and how long it can be tortured till it dies... I mean 2.17v on a C2D cpu? now that's something you don't want watercooled

Planning to bench this Saturday and/or Sunday, I will be temperature probe-less ( equipment got damaged ), but I guess I'll handle it well, like I've done in the past

On topic again, helping is nice.
I like helping others when I can, and I enjoy it because I'm doing it without looking for a "exchange"
