I have the adjustable speed version. So at it's current setting, no it isn't noisy. But if I turn it up to full power it definitely hums. Mine is insulated a bit further than most though because I'm using it inside of an XSPC drive bay reservoir, so the reservoir casing offers a little noise insulation. I've had several of these pumps now in various builds, and they are very sensitive to mounting substrate, location inside case and harmonics. If you're mounting to anything metal inside the case, make absolutely sure you use the adhesive rubber mounting pad that usually comes with the pump.
