Any specific questions, feel free to ask. I'll be around until Sunday.
I took long to respond b/c I don't check all profiles...post in mine next time so I know that you replied My parents just bought a house in Huntsville, 5 minutes away from the campus. Three stories, unfinished basement-$250K. It's very nice area. Don't worry about the 'mormon' part. The only people who care are the people who have never lived here, honestly. We moved from Ukraine in 2003 (atheist family) and never had ANY issues with the population. After a month you will barely remember what religion most people are. You won't be harassed or looked down upon, trust me. Only difference between mormons is that they don't drink, and have very strong family connections, both of which are a positive thing IMHO. The bar part is a little tougher. You may not find that the night life is so vibrant as it is in other places, but there will always be places to drink. There won't be as many drunk drivers after lights on the road that's for sure. You have NO reason to even worry about the 'mormon' part. I hate typing, so if you want to chat on vent or call me let me know (on my profile).
We are looking for places to stay right now. We checked out some apartments but didn't wanna sign before we get there. I am going to be a faculty at Weber State so we want some place close to the campus. What I really wanna know is how is life over there for a non-mormon family? My wife particularly is little bit nervous that we won't have any social life. I'm cool with fishing and hiking but I sure wanna hang out with friends at a bar or something time to time. Thanks by the way for helping.
Which part of Ogden are you moving to? There's nothing to do there except fishing on the reservoir and hiking. Seriously, there's nothing.
