this is what i want to know.
which one of the named rams perform better?
i'll use a 3700+ SD with a dfi ultra-d.
my aim is 265-270mhz @ 2/2/2/X. is this possible with aircooling 4 the ram?
do i need a booster additionally?
I'm strongly considering getting this memory: http://www2.newegg.com/Product/Prod...N82E16820227210
...after I get my 3700+ San Diego, but I'm not sure:
a) what chips they use, or
b) how well they run with this board, or
i m a little confused what ddr2 actually is??
i know it is specced for higher fsb but no one seems to be using it??
and do you need a specail motherboard to run it?
thx for any help in this matter
I go some mushkin memory about 1gb 2x512mb, redline 4000, well one stick gets errors in memtest 86, the other one runs fine.
Now Cpuz, the good stick comes on fine in cpuz memory reading, it says what memory, what timing, and who make it. The other in other hand comes with nothing lots of "X"...
I managed to get this memory pretty cheap (round 200$) and I'm wondering how it performs. I've read almost all reviews about them but none of them really show how good it overclocks. I did find out that you can easily reduce the timings for more bandwith :D . Does anyone have this memory and wants...
I want to discuss the price to you all, :toast:
for example, In China, Kinston DDR400 256M/512M 's price is about RMB195/RMB375, about $23.6/$45.3 on 12th May.
How much is the Memory in your country?
I was looking at getting new RAM because my Corsair XMS 2-2-2-5 PC3200 isn't the greatest overclocker and it's been giving me lots of errors lately. From what I've heard it seems this "BH5" module RAM is the miracle RAM. I have no idea what chips still have this BH5 left and if I have to go to...
so which one is better in term of performance, overclocking and stability...??thnx...i also wish to noe tat if i compare a PC-4000 Gold VX wif a PC-4800 Platinum and both are overclock to the max and the tighter timing tat they can achieve, which one will score higher is SiSoft Sandra ??
These sticks will be used in a system along with San Diego 3700+ on a DFI nF4 SLI-DR mobo. I was thinking of o/c the San Diego to ~2.7GHz & run the ram with 270MHz. I guess it shouldn't be any probs for either of those sticks to achieve that. The OCZ Gold VX stick is about £6 expensier so the...
hello guys, i need urgent help here...
i've an IC7-G motherboard with an OCZ booster installed.
Bought some BH-5 memory to try it with the booster but apparently it seems that whenever i set the Vdimm at high levels (3.0v's or higher) prime95 will fail instantly with error code. That happens even...
Whats the best value ram, that runs below 2.5v, that is Dual 1Gb (2x 512mb) and is compatible with s754?
Mobo is GA_K8VM800M
This PC is not intended for OCing, just a ram to make my parents PC more stable and my games stable wile I build my own PC (as shown in my signature...

I'm building a new rig with DFI Sli-D and San-Diego 3700+ and need help to choose memory. I've narrowed down my choice to:
*OCZ PC4000 Gold VX
*OCZ PC5000 Platinum Special DFI nF4
What would be the wisest choice for best performance? Very high FSB with...
say if a company says the voltages for their ram are 2.6 to 2.95. If you overclock (raise voltage..clocks speeds), do you void your warranty?
wont do 2-2-2 or 1T at all anymore
anyone had BH-5 take a crap without even giving much voltage? 3.1v - 3.2v
 At the moment I'm using some Muskin value memory in my computer, the reason being that the memory I had planned to use when I built mt A64 computer turned out to not work so well with my Abit Fatal1ty AN8. Now I want to upgrade my memory, and I don't know by what paremeters I should go...
Anyone know anything about this stuff? Patriot claims it will do 2-3-2-5 t1 @ pc3200 with two 1gig sticks in dual channel. And it's not too expensive either. Anyone know what chips it uses, and if the claims are true?
besides OCZ what other brands have OCing potential? is corsair anygood?
I can get pc3200 512 x 2, DDR400 with life time warrenty for 101.00 With my budget of 1200 seems like a better buy. what do you guys think?
So far I have had my last 3 recommendations to buy 2 x 512mb of OCZ ram. I know not all ram is the same but is the OCZ ram worth twice as much as say corsair ddr400 2x 512? if so why, i did a search on best Ram and couldnt find anything I just want decent ram in my new system and am trying to...
I have been trying to get my TCCD stable for a few weeks now at DDR600-610. I can run memtest for days with no errors but still get errors in windows (SuperPI32M). I added a divider and used a low multi to see if the MB was having troubles at 300FSB but that is not the case. I have also tweaked...
Ebay has a bid goin thats worth $140 of the exact same sticks that I have, but is this a steal or an average price? If that is.. Then i could be sitting on a damned motherboard and a gig upgrade on ddr..
