Thanks Jody I thought you used 750MB ERAM-drive, 'cause I saw it in 3oh6 forums in a screen cast of yours I already tried Monteboy's tweaker, it's working really good for me I'll for sure play with ERAM, seems to help a lot of guys with SPi 32M All the best with your reviews, George
i haven't seen a correlation between bigger ERAM drive to better times. i actually run a 1.3GB ERAM drive, the only reason is so i can fit the 1GB copy wazza file that i use. remember, the copy wazza/ERAM settings are fluid and every OS seems to react differently. i find with my 1.3GB ERAM/1GB CW file, i get the nice boost at the end that some guys don't get. if i was you, i would try Monteboy's SPi Tweaker...guys seem to be getting good results from it and it is nice and easy to use. i haven't had time to really try it as i have been busy hammering out reviews...no time to bench
Hey Jody, what's up man ? Congrats on the Xtreme X.I.P. status man Can I ask you sth ? The bigger the ERAM-drive is, the better results you get in SPi 32M ? 'Cause I've seen some guys using 500MB (like Hyperhorn for example), but you are using 750MB ...
Hehe, thanks for the heads up Jody
there is no difference between the XFX/EVGA...just the sticker under the top PCI-E slot and the support behind it. as for S2E, can't say as i haven't used it.
hey Jody, from what I've seen 'till now 790i is damn' impressive In summer when I 'll build my new bench rig, I will definitely include a 790i board and a wolfdale ... The only problem is, that I don't know which one to choose ... S2E, EVGA, XFX ... Any help ?
hola George, glad your enjoying the memory clocks...i can't say enough how much fun these kits and this board are
hehe hey m8
