I'm not sure what the ICs are on the Crucial DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) cas 7. I got the ram yesterday so it's like starting new. 626 fsb and 1000mhz at cas 8-7-7-21 were my fastest runs. Now I need to find the best overall divider. I feel for all the guys pulling their hair out with ram their RE doesn't like. I think this is a great board with the right ram and aftermarket cooling.
thanks for the info Ron and very interesting. it is good to hear that you got a kit that makes the board come alive but sad to hear that yet another kit of memory made the board a dud....know what i mean? this memory compatibility crap with this board really is a turn off. do you happen to know what ICs the Crucials are using?
