Thanks to all who have helped with my questions!! I am not completely finished, but close. This pump is crazy!!!! It must be flowing at least 3 gallons a minute (filled up one jug in under 20sec.). I must also say that the DDC Ultra pump is indeed quite, I will use my SPL meter and give you an objective rating; but mounted properly ,with no air in the system, I cannot hear it unless I have my side panel and system off. I still have to do some more splicing of fan wires (ran out of heatshrink). The fillport did not work out as planned, I did not take into account I still needed a vent so it took me like 20 minutes to fill it up (have to figure out a fix for that). I almost mounted the Raptor X on the side at the window, but thought that may be a little to much. I mounted my backup drive hidden behind the cage, with some alluminum L brackets I made. Any input is appreciated. Thanks again to everyone.

radbox aint supposed to be used like that, youre killing the airflow to the top fan ;p

You are both right, no flow, I don't even have the upper rad fan wired yet (ran out of heatshrink). I am going to cut a large area in the center of the rad box so I can hopefully leave it like that. I had to mod the lower fan just to make it mount up. Took 25mm off how far the entire apparatus projected off the back. With the lower fan only, I am currently priming with 1.5volts, at 43 C. I hope to avoid mounting it like it is suppose to be, as long as my temps don't suffer to much.

P.S. See attached pics of how I want to cut rad box.

I don't think I have it backwards, I just put the fan inside the rad box, as opposed to mounting it between the box and rad like it is supposed to be.

Yes, and now the fan on the rad is useless because its not getting air... hence, backwards.

HeHe, maybe our definitions of "backwards" are a little different. Restricted "yes", not how the instructions showed to mount "yes", that's why it's called modding baby! Anyway, check out this pic. I unmounted the rad while priming so I had no air restriction's what so ever, and it made no difference in my temps. I think it would make a difference if I was not under load. I have a hand thermister that I am moving around and I have a larger gradient at the bottom of the rad. It seems the rad is doing its job by dispersing the heat.

I am moving serious water, just wondering if I should have slowed the water down with a smaller jet in the CPU block, what do you think? Could I possibly be not picking up enough heat at the CPU block?

water does not need to slow down in the way you are talking, not at all. that is a myth.

also, the tubes leading to your pump look a bit collasped. or is it camera angle?

and, and yeah, that radbox is doing nothing but to your fan. hopefully it wont burn out.

but decent looking system you got there. should perform well.

Thanks for the reply, glad to hear that I probably don't need to break down all of this and take the CPU block apart. It was murder fitting all of this in a mid-tower anyway. I think it was the camera angle. I am checking out my inlet tube and it appears to be the same size and not collapsed (I also still have serious water movement in my res.). Yeah the fan in the radbox is probably not doing much, but I think I am going to leave it just to save the space. When I pulled it off I got no change in temps.

what kind of pump is that? where did you get it? I used to use a res but after i i redid my setup i took it out. now the only thing i hear from my computer is my x1800. its so much better w/o a res.

You did not mount the radiator box backward, but what you should do is mount the radiator box on top of the fan instead of below it.

If you think thats scary you should see pickles' PA120.3 with dual shrouds and 6x 38mm fans in push-pull hanging off one of those...

Another thing I read with the radiator he is using (swiftech radiator), is that it should be mounted upwards (fittings/connectors up top) so that it bleeds easier or something. I can't remember precisely.

Which guide, I've read over 1000 of them?? It's been awhile since I read your's Max. Just busy trying to put it together.

Yeah I contacted Swiftech I was informed that it was irrelavent how it was mounted, they could just not gaurantee that the "self purging" design would work if not upright. I had no problems, purged super fast. I even had the rad unmounted while flowing and put it upright.

Nice mount, I just can't have that much stuff, that far off the back of my case. I will be investing in a silverstone when I finish school. All this stuff will then be in the bottom of the case!!!

Thanks Magnj, I am still trying to tweak it. I think I am going to like this water stuff (no more noise!!). Temps are great, CPU (Opteron 170) stuck at 2.75; may not be the super chip I thought it was. But the Raptor has really speed things up!!

Thanks Haste! As you can see from the original pics I did not have all the wiring done (eager to post pics of H2O!!). I have stayed up until like 6:00a.m. the last two nights wiring this freakin thing! Got the first fan on. Do you know if that second fan made a difference on your temps? Someone told me that it would not do much because it was just for the mosfits, but I already have another fan a friend on air gave me. Did your's just snap on?
Thanks

here is how the rad box should look.
rad-fan-radbox

Your rad box is backwards. The thin plate is mounted on the chasis, the box part is mounted on the fan.

it didn't "snap" on but it fits on tight enough to where it won't go anywhere.
i didn't have anything to compare my temps with so i'm not sure if it makes a difference or not. but im guessing that it can't hurt :)

doesnt that block the bottom set of pci slots?

I had my mcr inverted to yours so part of the bottom fan hung over the psu, i then used the shield that came with the case to deflect the air from the psu out to the side, si i could get to my slots. :)
