promise/any raid pci slow, raptors 2x, but nvraid flies!

I was wondering what performance you are getting with any PCI raid card and raptors. For example, from my comparison Promise TX2300 ($50-60) PCI raid totally sucks in comparison to nvidia raid.

Here are some numbers:
Nvraid, stripe size 32K

Whereas Promise raid (tried 32/64/128 stripe size) shows much lower numbers
Hdtach 100MB/s, burst 110MB/s
Atto, write/read 110/100MB/s

Tried newest promise card bios and drivers.

Maybe have to change pci latency timer...

ok, using pci latency tool and setting latency to 192 improves read by 5-10MB/s but that is it.

Maybe PCI B/W is limiting ?
It can handle 127.2MB/s theoreticaly where`s NVraid sits on pci-e

What drivers did you use to get the RAID for the NV chipset working?

Yeah, might be PCI bus limit but I didn't know that performance would be that much lower

Using official nvidia drivers :)
