I cant decide. Im favoring towards D-tek new Spiral water block w/ poly top. Im wondering how these blocks vary from Swiftech, which will produce less condensation?

Also Im thinking I should go all brass barbs or Poly ? Hummm...

Then the Rad.? Im looking at the Black Ice Xtreme by DangerDen 1/2" or the ProCombo from D-tek.

I was thinking of 1/2" Rad and using 3/8 tubing. The pump will be something strong like a 1250 or something equal. Or should I just go 1/2" throughout? Hummmm...

I'll keep reading other people post also.

Thanks

For blocks, the White Water by Cathar is the best block out at the moment, by around 5C. If you get a D-Tek block, get the TC-4, it performs better than the spiral. Next, don't get a Black Ice if you have room for a heatercore and shrouds (the dtek core) as the heatercore will far outperform the Black Ice any day. No need to worry about condensation, you will have none with straight water cooling, only pelts and other sub ambient temp systems need to worry about that. Do yourself a favor and stay away from plastic tops... yeah they look cool but they crack, mine did. Get a metal top. Stick with 1/2" tubing.

Someone I talked too had the tc-4 then got the spiral and their temps droped like 5c.

Don't mean to be an ass, but THAT is not possible. That someone seems clueless...

where is the best place to purchase the white water block?

So I should go with a D-tek Rad 1/2 and use 1/2 tubing?

DO YOU RUN A HEATER CORE??? If so what?

Thanks

Yes, I run the d-tek core with 2 shrouds. I would PM Cathar, I don't remember the web address... Here is my setup:

Stupid ? maybe.

Why is there 3 barbs on the White water block?

1 inlet -> 2 outlets, using the Y-fitting to merge the two back into one. From what Ive read, middle in, side out yields the best performance, please correct me if Im wrong as I dont own this fine block.

starck You're right, it's due to the design of the block, the water enters in the middle then flows to the side so you have to remove the water from both sides

Yep, thats two XLR120's and two Scoop shrouds. Mine looks plain cause I have not decided what color to paint them yet but they look sweet when painted up. And you wont find better performance than those they own the others like d-tek and DD because it has way more surface area. In fact I use 2 Panaflo low speed 120mm @ 7v to cool mine so they are silent. and I still get get cooling.

These look better with a nice coat of paint:D

and these colored lucite shrouds are nice too.

OK I measured and I dont have room for the XLR120 rad.

Im going to get the D-tek core or the LRS 120 and the white water.

WHICH rad do you think is better??

Now the pump, get a Hydor L20 or L30?
or maybe the MCP300?

Im using 1/2" tubing.

Thank You very much!

As much as I like JP's work I cant honestly say wich performs better but I think they are about the same size or close to it so the performance is going to be about the same. That leaves you with what looks better and I dont have point you in the right direction there = that LRS120 and OTIS shroud looks killer plus he can make them in different color lucite.

I cant say anything about those pumps as I have no experience with them.

He offers everything you described in his kits (http://www.jpiperformance.com/otis_prime.htm)

How do the swiftech pumps MCP300 perform?
A slower pump gives the water more time to cool in Rad and faster pump gives you more traveling water. I guess it depends on how many blocks you are running.
I would like to go CPU Gpu NB but for right now CPU is most important, I already have active on NB.

Also I saw this , d-tek must have a submerse pump in it.
I wonder what it is?

I want something quit and something that cools.
White water will help me.
