Hey,

I currently have a AMD64 3500, msi nf4 Ultra mobo, 2 gigs of Corsair Ram at
2-3-2-6 timings, Seagate Sata HD, and a X800XL 256mb video card.

Will my computer, namely the video card be able to run this Viewsonic
VX2025WM 20.1" Widescreen LCD at the native resolution of 1680X1050?

http://www.viewsonic.com/products/desktopdisplays/lcddisplays/xseries/vx2025wm/

Thanks!

that is a kick ass widescren btw. I've set it up at my work and messed around with it. Very solid, almost full aluminum, very stable, nice picture.

What games do you play? And I'm going to have to say doubtful for newer games. Get a x1800xt 256MB for $239 at newegg if you want to play native res.

it depends on the games

I run mine at 1680x1050 for BF2 everything on high except Textures (medium) 4x AA

Uhm, aluminum????

I have both the 17" and 19" Viewsonic, and I've seen this widescreen version, and uhm.......its plastic. Not metal.

Slayer, take a closer look at the whole base :) and take off the plastic covering, look underneath you'll find aluminum (its not whats on the outside that counts buddy, its what is on the inside)

I thought you were mentioning the casing. :D

Yes, the guts are aluminum.
