I have scanned my Seagate HD (ST3250823AS) with the S.M.A.R.T tool included in Speedfan 4.28 and with HD Tune 2.50 and both warn me of a bad "Seek Error Rate" (47 vs. a threshold of 30). On the other hand, a SeaTools online self drive does not show any errors. But listening to the HD, it is quiet obvious something is wrong.
Is there a way to repair the drive before fatal failure?
