I'm not much of a water buff, but I do believe you'd want to be using something like "Water wetter" or something with alcohol or antifreeze in it for the inhibitors to keep all the internal components of the water cooling system clean and free from bacteria and such.

If you use just tap water you might get some build-up in ur system. Distilled water + water wetter is prefered :D

I can vouch for the deposits from normal water w/antifreeze. It should never get to the point of reducing flow, but assuming it coats everything equally it would reduce the cooling ability of your water block and radiator.

Use distilled water. If you are mixing types of metals (copper block with aluminium rad, etc...) then you should add Water Wetter, or Purple Ice, or some other such corrosion inhibitor. If it's all copper, then you can use pure distilled water.
