View Full Version : error on win xp boot, plz help.

Comp has been running fine for a while now but I just restarted it yesterday and got "BOOT_VOLUME_ERROR" or something to that effect. Safe mode doesn't work, normal doesn't, nothin works heh. If I put the Win XP cd in and "repaired" Win XP would that fix it? If not I'll just format it--It's not a problem I just have Win XP on that HD, but I thought I'd ask.
You will get two options from the disk!
One will ask for the "emergency repair disk", and the other will try to repair from the system restore.
Try both!
