Good sub 20 SPi

2v would be a little too high. I would give up to 1.85/1.9v or so. But, 2v would be xtreme. When are we gonna see 7ghz benchable?? BTW, why is the cpu only -110?? LN2 should be lower, right?

we couldn't go any faster cause the AIbooster can only reach 450mhz on chipset... :D

at these clock we did the 8mb too...

We had the luck to have the memoryextreme team with us, without them this WR wouldn't be possible!

thanks GIAMPA and LEGHORN!!!!

Well done Italy team! Excellent results. I think chipset cooling helped u a lot.
My results with 631 looks poor compared to yours...

If the MoBo and the cooling allow FSB 450 - get some better CPU like 641,651 or 661 ... and knock the hell out of it !!!

It`s MAX you can set in BIOS

thanks guys!

well, let me tell you that I left Leghorn's house @2.30 a.m.

now, first of all, I'd like to thank Giampa and Max, cause without 'em this score wouldn't exist!

22.45 p.m. it's all begin: first problem, a we broke the teamgroup DDR2, so we couldn't go 450 4324 sinc...so we had to go with the ocz...

ok, we started with the ocz @4444, chipset temp @-80, cpu temp @-100, we booted @420, we reised up the fsb in windows up to 440mhz with -120cpu and -100chipset. Then we gave 1.76v to the cpu, temp around -140... so we could take the 450x15 spi... then we put on the corsair UL, but instead of having a boot with those ram @ 450 4324 we lost...spi 19.453!!! So we found out that 2gb can give a boost in the 1mb too!!!

well then we started the 8mb spi @6750, closed in 3'34'', damn... the sistem crashed while we were makin the screeshot.

reboot, AWESOME!!! we could boot @ 450x15 cpu@-150°, chipset@-150° with no problem at all!!! we closed a new 8mb spi in 3'40''
the cpu made so much heat @ those fsb, when the 8mb started the temp on it was -160°, at the end... (3minutes later) -120° ...

we made the 32m @435x15 but it freezed at the last loop, 18 minutes later cause the temp dropped to high...

We could make everything thanks the PC POWERCOOLING 1KW PSU... with something like 80A in the 12v line!!!!

Thats incredible! Congratulations! :)

If you have a physical limit at 450MHz have you considered PLL modifications to the board? 15MHz over 14.318MHz may help you into the 7's with a stable 14.318MHz reference etc. Although i have no idea how clock generation is performed on your board...

You carefully cut the 14.318MHz global clock reference PCB trace from your on board clock generator.

Then hacksaw a PLL clock generator from an old board. Wire in its power rails, and connect the 14.318MHz reference output to the on board 14.318MHz reference which is no longer connected to your on board clock generator.

With this the system should run as standard.

Now you change the crystal oscillator in your on board generator to a higher value. The value you set in the BIOS will now be at a ratio of (new crystal frequency)/14.318 greater than it actually is set to.

You have to feed in the 14.318MHz reference otherwise the system will think it is running at the same frequency regardless how much you increase the on board crystal. 14.318MHz reference is used to produce system reference...

Its works fine in almost any board, and is often the only way to overclock non overclockable motherboards. Ive performed this modification myself on three different boards all with great success.

As for specifics with your board i think it would be better to contact someone like FUGGER who has a great deal of experience with these new Intel systems as i feel uncomfortable giving advice on a board im unfamiliar with. But yes, this will give you more frequency, beware however that all clock frequencies will rise in proportion to FSB.
