Kingston KHX3200ULK2/2G

DDR400 2-2-2-5 2GB :woot:

Do you know anything about these sticks?

Datasheet:

Price:

Its in german, but as you can see its priced at ~260€ and will be available at the end of april.

What do you think? Which chips, Micron?
Do you think it will oc well, who has a glass sphere for looking into the future. :D

And the main question: Should I buy a pair. :D :slobber:

Some initial discussion was in the News section...

Not sure... A bit unlikely that it's Infineon as I have had 5 pairs of Rev.C and none of them could do DDR400 @ 5-2-2-2.0-1T at any decent voltage and have not tried higher than 2.8v. Maybe Micron, but we would like to get one so see :)

thx, it seems I've overlooked this thread

should I buy a pair of these without any results yet or should I go for the Team Micron Set, they cost ~30€ more but they are binned higher, it's difficult :)

NOt really, ram with A64 is extremely easy.
Mix the right dividers with skillful use of the limits of the chips and the difference between all the ICs are minimal because the access latency variance is minimal.

i just got a pair of these today, unfortunately i couldn't get the pair to do 200MHz 2-2-2-5 without producing errors at all. testing separately i found one stick to be bad :(

i'm just trying to get 200mhz 2-2-2-5 stable on the one good stick for now so i have some idea what to set when i get the next pair

from what i can see (without removing the heatspreader), the chips used look more like graphic card memory or ddr2 chips... small, square, and no legs on the sides

I guess you should RMA this kit and get another one as replacement.
Thanks for info upon chips. I do remember there`re some ram with BGA chips, but I cannot remember which ones

i was quite surprised, this is the first time i've ever seen chips like this on DDR ram

i tried to take a pic, but it's nightime here (bad lighting) and without removing the heatspreaders, it's hard to see anything

I don't see what the big deal is. I'd rather settle for 2-3-2-5 and buy 100 tacos at Taco Bell.

Hmmmm, wow, BGA DDR usually has AWFUL timings, but I guess that's because it's typically budget oriented.

Bummer about the kit not doing 2-2-2 :(

Alot of the new crucial stuff uses BGA chips. Maybe the IC's are micron?
